socommk233 Posted October 26, 2018 Report Posted October 26, 2018 Hey peeps. Just wondered what else you guys do for fun? Anyone have as short an attention span as myself? Kite skates to kite buggy to kite surfing to kite foiling and now this......it's just getting silly. Lol SoutherlyBuster and Grants 1 1 Quote
BobM Posted October 28, 2018 Report Posted October 28, 2018 Since you asked, this is my new favourite photo of my other obsession SoutherlyBuster, jeffnyc and Mfwetu 3 Quote
Mfwetu Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 I'm a bit confused as to exactly what the obsession is but it looks like fun Quote
socommk233 Posted October 29, 2018 Author Report Posted October 29, 2018 I'd suck at that. But looks like fun Quote

Roller Derby has progressed from the 1970's when it was "entertainment" into an athletic sport. It is one of the few sports where you play offense and defence at the same time. It is usually played by women, but there is a Men's organisation and ,an even more fringe, mixed version of of the sport which is where the photo above comes from. Quote
SoutherlyBuster Posted October 30, 2018 Report Posted October 30, 2018 Things not related to kites I do for fun: * Playing music instruments: guitar, harmonica, violin, keyboards * Slope soaring remotely controlled gliders. Kind of kite related, driven by wind. * Skateboarding, snow boarding. At times are kite related. * Pushbike and Mountain bike riding. * Photography. At times kite related. Quote

Flown for 20 years, but now just sat in the loft. Now that I've taken up paragliding and use the same slopes I don't think the gliders will ever be flown again. Quote

What about if it is blowing 35 knotsup the slope, time to leave the paraglider in the car and bring out the RC slope soarer? Quote
