m.klinge Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 Looks very nice! I still havn't been out on mine yet - conditions just didn't favor landboarding lately :-( //M mik333 and Mfwetu 2 Quote
bakersdozen Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 Awesome @mfwetu ! Very exciting dude They are the exact same model as mine. Make sure to keep us posted on your build. Where did you end up sourcing them from? You going to go granny styles? Mfwetu 1 Quote
plummet Posted January 7, 2016 Report Posted January 7, 2016 I have always wanted a real pair of revo's. Quote

bakersdozen Posted January 8, 2016 Report Posted January 8, 2016 Revo trucks are lighter and tougher than other trucks (matrix or skate style). They are sealed, so water and sand cannot get in. They offer the most amount of customisation, in terms of angle of attack (which way the axle will flex) .. which will determine hardness or softness , easy to carve / hard to carve = speed wobbles or no speed wobbles. Another good thing about revos is that you can mount them inverted on the top of your board to lower the center of gravity of your ride. You can't do this with regular trucks. @.Joel you would have seen me adjusting them at the house during the last speed week. You can also replace the axles for wider ones to increase your footprint , which both plummet and I have done Tiger37 and ssayre 2 Quote

Did you end up modifying your Trampa deck or are you going to use the DEX deck? Quote

Basically unused and in mint condition!! Definitely intended for a granny build. I was going to use my matrix trucks with the grannys but needed a 35 degree deck and was waiting for spare funds to get a Trampa so up till now I've used them on skate trucks which aren't the best. Now I've got the Revo's I've got a few more options. May even have a look at how hard it is to build my own carbon deck like @plummet. Not really, I know when I'm outgunned @bakersdozen covered most of the why but forgot the most important reason - they're just so incredibly sexy (I've always been a sucker for good engineering) .Joel, ssayre and bakersdozen 3 Quote

plummet Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 I suggest carbon/bamboo deck. 5mm vlam bamboo with several layers of uni and a double bias carbon. Making a deck for revo;s is super simple as you don't need any kicks. You only need a basic rocker. Quote

paragon Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 Does anyone know where I can get a pair of them? Quote
