Can only echo Colin's words when it comes to pumps the same thing just happened to my north pump in Portugal last week It was around 4 weeks old when the seal melted all over the pump shaft making it impossible to use.

That's the 3rd decent pump in a year i thinking about lashing out the money on a compressed air one like this

KGBswag Cart | Kiteboarding Headquarters for the San Francisco Bay Area - IKO Certified

It would pay for it self over a few years/

ha ha ha,

I spent 3 years pumping my kites up with these!

If you offered me the new high volume pump I'd have paid £300!

It also looks a tad perverse when you are whacking away on the beach, kite in lap....

go outdoors now selling them for about £5, and if you go when got camping discount days you get 15% off - bargain. If it breaks buy another. Add bit of the elastic cord to hold kite and job done.

dont friggin bother i bought one from argos 4,50£ and last 5mins and the stem snapped . waste of money

I got a huge pump from , robin hood water sports , its twice the size of a standard kite pump and takes half the time to pump

remember to use a silcone based lube to keep the pump in good order (and cleaned regually )

I use the Go Outdoors cheapy and rigged up a 0-15psi gauge off eBay with some silicone tube to register pressure. Gauge cost £2.50. When the pumps knackered, gauge will be transferred to the next pump.

Simples!

I have the 2013 North Pump.. Comes with a pump hand bag to carry it in.. freekin awesome. what will they think of next...

Well of course, North also invented the gay pump bag. Fortunately most decent kite manufacturers make provision in the kite bag. Rather sensible that.

Andy - please, for the love of God, tell me it is not the jumbo pump which retails in Robin Hood for £155.00????

£155 to pump up a kite........ no, it's to pump up "Randy Raquel" the girl who never says no....................

pmsl. I was just gonna write that. I think £155 included Randy Raquel; The A mans inflato bird. If she's like your kite bladder Andy, she'll be going down on you all the time. :D
