Hi All,

Just keep an eye on the SSE - ENE winds and low tides for 7 Mile

NE'ers are out because the old river mouth has been reopened during the winter rain

Giving only a couple of 100mtrs + all the holiday crowds to battle through

So this week is great low tides and a few SE winds predicted

Hope to cya there

JD

PS Windang is also a good choice for those directions too and a little closer to Sydney

Just wondering how you access the beach at Windang? I have had a look on Google satellite maps, and it looks like a lifeguard station or something similar with a staff car park with X's painted on the ground at the access point to the beach? Can you park near there and cart your gear onto the beach from there?

Any info welcome.

Thanks - Rob

Hope tomorrow should be a goer at 7 Mile, will be aiming for a 2pm start

Windang is accessible just as you said, go right up to the surf club, park there

and wonder out onto the beach. Just do the right thing and stay away from the crowds, head north slightly.

JD. Thanks for organising yesterday's session at 7 Mile Beach. It was good to meet you, Andy and Paul despite the winds being a little low and disappointing. At least I now know the location and it was great to have some long runs on the beach. Do please let me know when you are going again or even Windang and I'll try and join you. All the best.

Hope to see a few there, the usual guys will be going

May have to be changed to Monday, strong southerlies are no good for 7 Mile as it turns SW straight up the beach

Monday is predicted SSE

let me know where you end up going, ill be down there this weekend, also a side note is the forecast for 7 mile isnt the most accurate.... ive been there when the report sais 10knot ESE and its burning through northerly at 25+

Wind looks good for 7 mile. Perpendicular to onshore :)

I would head down there were it not for the fact I have to take my wife to an appointment for a 'stress test' - whatever one of those is.

Maybe one day...

Cheers - Rob

it was almost perfect at 7 mile yesterday, winds at around 10 - 12k ESE, the only downer was that it dropped to less than 6knots fairly quickly and i didnt have a bug enough kite to put up in the low winds :(

Well it seems I should have gone yesterday instead of today (rain)

but I did however earn serious brownie points with the wife

Looks like the picture won't upload properly, but I finished of the paving

and now have a free pass to buggy time :good:

Hope to meet up with you guys soon

That would be good to meet. Sorry, having just read my post, I realised I will be there the weekend 8/9 Feb, not next weekend. Hoping the winds are tides are good!

well the tides were awesome.... the wind however sucked... Northely howling through at 30knots.... i was hoping for an easterly or westerly shift but didnt get my prayers answered :(

the report isn't that accurate.... - report was telling me WestNorthWest but it was a straight northerly and a lot higher than the prediction - if you are there anyway just pray :)
