Hi Bob,

The best way we found was to enter of Fern St, top of the red path line.

Go around the caravan park which you could stay at if any vacancies

Up to the car park at the surf club.

Assemble buggy (in your case pull off trailer) and wheel around surf club and out onto the beach

Life guards are cool with us provided we stay out of the flags and show courtesy to other beach users.

Holiday time will bring out the fishermen and families for the first 100mtrs or so,

best wind is SE, so usable from SSE to ENE, but as it's not far from 7 mile that our other option on the dayz

Thanks JD, I've booked accomodation at a local motel on the main drag for Sat & Sun nights. I have committments in Canberra in the Friday night. With the hwy no longer trekking through the town I thought I might see what was happening.

Just had a look at willyweather and it seems that Southerlies are on for the three day long weekend. As my accomodation is booked, I'll be heading down regardless, so any advice on which beach(es) would be buggy-able. I'm thinking of the northen end of seven mile at this stage.

Hi Bob,

What is it with you coming to the coast, everytime you come mate the weather goes to crap

Looks like it's supposed to be bucketing down Sat/Sun.

Now if it's a strong southerly, 7 Mile will go south west straight up the beach. It's all to do with that mountain affecting the wind flow. We'll try and catch up regardless and see what happens closer.

Cheers

JD
