adam_h Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Just as abit of a heads up, went down the other day and the beach was closed, no spaces left by the discovery centre so people were parking by the beach entrance. 2 traffic wardens were putting tickets on 6 or 7 cars parked on the triangle bit of tarmac by the toilets and a couple of cars bumped up on the pavement. We ended parking at the pub and walking down. Will hopefully get to the beach and see some of you down there at some point. Would be there tomorrow if I wasn't in work. Quote

Rob Davies Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Had a good session upto 35 mph personal best . Got first proper lofting and spanking - somersaulted and landed on my head . I would never have believed a PKD buster 3m in 25 mph wind would lift and throw 107kg like that . Don't think I was the only 1 that got caught out though ! Feeling a bit sore now . Sorry I left with out saying bye had intended to watch Stew kite surf but discovery centre car park was hammered people were abandoning cars anywhere and everywhere thought I was going to get blocked in or bumped so called it a day . Good to see everyone and to blow cobwebs out . Hope u like the buggy Carl , Diane said u had it on 2 wheels in no time , something I never managed all the time I owned it ! Looks like Keith's got a new job as Carl's camera man , hope you got some good footage on it? Stew hope u enjoyed your kite surf session u must be mad in them conditions ! Happy kiting Quote

Glad you getting faster you passed us going pretty fast on the sand bank you will be past 40 and chasing 50 before you know it. windchaser 73 Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 gd to see you all. think the blade was trying t killl me. but got a few decent runs.. smaller kite I think. went in the sea and had a go on the taina, think its more a freeride kite or wave ride. just cant jump with it. might be me.. went back and gt old trusty atom and in no time at all was going airborn. left beach at 4with big grin and a shiver. catch u all again oh and rob pass my thank yous to ya mrs for helping me with the kite or think id of gt a spanking also Quote

Rob Davies Posted January 6, 2013 Report Posted January 6, 2013 Guys AOSPKC has been showing 4 mph NNE for approx the last 3 weeks ! It crashes / locks up frequently . I'd take info off there with a pinch of salt ! Cobs website is normally pretty good but that's also been down a while . I use XC weather and wind finder app on iphone both of which are right more often then there wrong ! Doesn't say much for them does it? Quote
