The seat quality looks very good Jon, however its only the buckles that im not 100% on.

Im sure once the frame is made we could possibly look to develop a seat for it. The ball is well and truely rolling with teh buggy now. I spent another few hours with Steve at X-works last night talking through the design concept and possible ideas.

I cant say too much here as we're yet to make the first proto.

The target will be stronger than a braced flexi buggy and im quite confident even lighter than a stock one.

Watch this space and keep your ideas/feedback coming :)

Just giving you guys a quick update.

Had 3 meetings with Steve at X-works over the last fortnight and am happy to say that the design spec and drawings are really taking shape.

Im hoping that we will have a proto frame complete within the next 3-4 weeks. Im have seen the spec for materials used and methods for certain joints/connections on the buggy and its looking fantastic.

Im really confident that this will push forward a buggy that freestylers have been trying to achieve over the last few years.

Excited isnt the word, watch this space guys :)

Dont forget us when Ya rich will you??

Any chance of a small sneeky peeky when its built??

Ben

Interesting you say that mate.

Id like to add now that this is and never has been about making money for myself. My whole incentive with the project is to provide riders with a tool to help them take their buggying to new levels. To help take our sport and push it in to the next generation of freestyle.

As long as i have enough cash for me to stay riding myself thats all i could ask for.

Besides, it has to be priced so that people can afford it. If nobody can afford it then there will be little point in developing a buggy.

Seeing as the Flexi buggy will be increased in price and you still have to spend £££'s modifying it to prolong its life in the freestyle world. I belive there is a market for a specially developed and focused buggy.

And yes i will get some pics as and when the time is right :)

Nice to see someone doing something for the love of it, not for the £££!! I am sure that if you come up with a bug better than the flexi, the money will follow due course, as will the appreciation of all the buggiers who will use them!!

Great about pics!!! Cant wait to see what you come up with!!

hint tho, apply for a patent of any new fangled bits you are thinking of adding or some cheapo company will rip them from you and undercut prices with a crap copy - enter Eolo radsail!!

As promised guys/gals,

Current design specs have been agreed, and proto one will begin build next week. Some of the ideas on it are really smart with really clean designs.

Im really excited and cant wait to see it. Most of all i cant wait to show you guys. :)

what ever you build, dont sell it as a jumping buggy , notice no one says that is the purpose for thiers ? make it to suit your needs though ;) . i agree nylon wheels are the best for hard impacts , alloy ones dent and drop pressure and crack up too. keep up the good work , just heed the advise . in the states one person buying a "freestyle buggy"

could rob you of a lifetimes earnings after a big crash.

Ive been to see the action again today.

Proto number one is well under way. Forks, headstock, downtube, footpegs, rear axle etc are all made up and ready to be jigged and tig welded.

Really excited by what i have seen so far and the way that the project is going together. Most of all, the quality, fit and finish on it is as you would expect for motorsport quality.

Sorry i still cant show you any pics yet guys but i just want you all to know that progress is being made and things are coming together really nice.

Building is well under way.

However, its being done in between "real" jobs. Steve is still working on the buggy when he gets time but he is very busy with motorsport projects that need to be ready for various shakedowns for next season etc.

I personally havent flown since BKSA Redcar either due to a car accident and am currently injoured. So im not putting any pressure on getting the buggy done either.

Do not fret though. This is still very much a "live" project and i hope to have something to show you all soon :)
