  1. Hate to disappoint but H264 is an mp4 codec!! Mov is just the wrapper but I know what your getting at
  2. What you doin up Snowdon? I need to do something, just had to turn down a chance to drive the 2008 Renault F1 car.... but too much of a lard arse!... depressed now, €5500 normally I've been offered two tickets for a grand check this out
  3. HI guys, Anybody heading to the beach this weekend?
  4. Anybody going to Borth this weekend? got a mate who will be out that way wants to hook up and try a kite or two. would come myself but off to France for two weeks beach action in the sun, drop me a text if your going. cheers guys
  5. still here geeza, just popped in to see what was going on, busy prepping kit for two weeks action in france starting next weekend. can't wait, been in full time employment for two months now going stir crazy lol! only bonus has been buying new computers with other peoples money lol.
  6. Camped at Dyffryn last bank holiday week, all I'd say is keep an eye on your kit, came back from a cracking buggy session on the beach to find some little scrote had thrown a lump of concrete through the roof of my tent, also if it's busy the showers can be a real pain with the cards not working. other than that access to the beach is great and with an on shore breeze you can buggy all the way up to shell, but it's a long walk of shame if you get caught out by the wind. beach at Dyffryn was nice and hard, shell seems to change on a tidal bassis but there's always a spot to buggy, but you do have to walk along the beach to the designated area at Shell, where as Dyffryn, you can just find yourself a quiet space and get on with it.
  7. Gav, if your ever going up SOR drop me a text might just be able to squeeze a quick session, but don't always get chance to check the forum now a days. HI Folks hope your all keeping well.
  8. I just drop the front wheel out of my flexibuggy, and use a short rope strop larks head over the axle of the front buggy, couple of d-shackles through the bolt holes of the front forks on the following buggy, just make sure the strop is short so the forks can't snag anything.
  9. Lol Zotty that was about 6 years ago, you were the trend setter
  10. Personally I wouldn't fly an 8.5 blade in the rain, it will get so heavy...... take it out in your garden on a sunny day, give it a good soaking with a hose pipe and then try and pick it up! you'll get my drift lol plus as a general weather rule, with rain normally comes wind so you may actually be over powered, if your serious about flying in the rain a lot then an LEI or any kite designed for kite surfing is the way to go as they are designed to fly when wet and don't have any form of open cells to collect water etc etc. Oh also it's not a good idea to fly any kind of kite in a thunder storm, you don't need carbon fiber to attract a lightning strike you just have to be the highest point.... which you will be and you'll be in a wide open space, not good either
  11. Gutted for ya matey end of an era. you are a leg end in your own lunch time lol. PM me with some idea of prices might have newby interested in some kit. might have one of ya bloacks off ya if you'll split from the harness? Oh nearly forgot due to the shock....HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE.
  12. best buggy transport device I have is a Renault espace, flexi buggy fits straight in the back, infact you cane get at least 3 in without dismanteling, plus all kites plus 4 people........don't have to worry about load effecting fuel economy as it's already crap with a 3L v6 turbo engine..........but you do get to the beach F***ing quick in comfort. lol
  13. did have a AA kit fitted but ditched it as it was actually a real pain to get the kite flying anywhere near as good as it did in standard trim! had to mess around adjusting bridles to get it to fly properly but then as soon as i adjusted the AA kit I had to start over again, I guess it's probably something to do with the flexi-bridle mod I have fitted! Know what you mean about tyre preasure, i used to ride trials bikes, although my thinking of hard narrow tyres was more along the lines of rally studded tyres i.e, narrow tyre cuts through the soft stuff to get you down to the frozen hard ground to get some sideways resistance/grip

    Kite 360

when doing it on foot if you try running different lines you'll find a line that takes less running. it's difficult to explain but you have to be moving away from the kite to keep it flying. haven't tried in the buggy as yet but i guess that a failure to do the 360 results in the same way as doing it on foot and the kite collapses here's dodger doing a 720 with a 4.9 blade
