Hey all Darling Downs people. It seems there is a growing number of kiters around our area SWEEEETTT means i have someone to buggy with. These are the people i know of, Gareth and his mate Sean, and Glenn. Let me know if your in our area. I probably have the best spot to buggy around here (that i know of). Buggying has now been banned in Pelican park for a number of years now. I think it's time to re-visit the prospect of having it reinstated. Any thoughts?

Been talking to a few people and it seems not everyone Including me couldn't make it too Yeppoon for Easter. Also found out that you don't get much wind in the winter, but i do. So thoguth i'd plan a weekend thinking end of May, saturday and sunday ride. i'll make sure the ground is smooth and hope the winds 20kn, should be sweet. PS Yes it'll be cold. Let me know if your keen, plenty of room to sleep, bbq and all that. i got big tarps for the kites(if your worried about getting dust on them)

Very nice to make your aquaintance Goz. Hope you have a good time next weekend. And someone, Chris? don't know your name. Orange shirts, you all stick out like the proverbial. And to see the ol fart in the limo again, been awhile and the team who drove all the way frome Sydney, hope you're having a great time cruisin. Great winds and a really good turn out. I havn't been up that way for 3 yrs, and very nice to be back. With such good conditions. Put the car up for about 2 x 1hr stretch, which was pretty funny. Gotta be there and watch these kind of things. Instant line up, a bit of a hoot thats for sure. NEXT! Thanks to Ray as well for helping me pull down dino, felix, and the lifter on those lines. I need more rope. Sorry, I only have a couple of phots, a few of the globe and a foot in a bunya pine before my camera gave up the ghost. Sports kite comp?, just have to wait n see on that one.

Righto now that we are harvesting and dragged myself away from 5 seconds here are some dates that everyone can come out 26-27 march 2-3 april (2nd being my birthday so not sure if i'll feeling well ) 9-10 april so by then we should have good wind(not like last time) heaps of area. So work out the best weekend for you and if it fits with everyone, come out and get some wind up ya. aannd probably shit load of dust as per always. if you need to know anything else give me a yell. cheers lance.

After 71 days of living with the in-laws Ledonna has found us a house .... and in 8, 9 and 10 days I humbly beg for as much help moving in as anyone can give We get the Keys on Friday 25th/2 and will be hitting it all weekend. All participants will have complete and untethered borrowing privileges on any of my kite gear. And the best helper on the day will win a dog Marty p.s. I'm just trying to think of somewhere that I might go for a couple of days between xmas and new years (if I can get a couple of free days) and I'm just wondering if anyone has been to stradbroke for a buggy. The beach on google maps looks promising, but first hand knowlege would be even better. It's an expemsive ferry ride, so I'd rather not get there and find that the beach is no good or littered with 4wds cheers

Thought i'd let you all know what happening out here. My legs still on the mend and i'll start flying again probably in the new year. The whole farm is in crop so nowhere to bug at all, until jan-feb anyway. The strip should re-open(where we were last time), and probably the 280ha beside it. So keep this in mind and when it's good to go i'm sure i'll let you know and come out for a weekend in the dust. do hope to get to brissy before then but i've been flat out for the past 5weeks, should start slowing now, thank god that that. anywho take it easy. been plenty of wind out here hope you get some where ever you are

hay all. just started up kitesurfing im currently on the atherton tablelands west of cairns just wanted to see if theres many of you up here who wouldnt mind giving a newbie a few pointers sometime. ive had lessons ($300 and no board action >_< ) and have slacklined stunt kites for few years now. so im not COMPLETELY useles... well i dont really know yet hahaha but i am keen so anyways just a quick headcount to see who and how many of you are up here

When I did cave and mountain rescue back in the UK we had an 'informal' rule that any member of the team who had to call out the cave or mountain rescue services had to pay a fine, for cave rescue it was a barrel of beer for the club house ad mountain rescue it was a couple of crates of beer. As a consequence of getting myself injured on Bribie earlier this year I've felt obliged to 'pay my fine' , and as belated as it is we want to hold a BBQ and get together to thank those who helped me off the beach than day... and also as a general get together. atm we have pencilled in the afternoon of Sunday 5th September, (which incidentally also marks out 1st year in Brissy), all who were on the beach that day are invited, and I'm sorry but I cant remember everyone, as are the rest of the Brissy regulars(and I mean that in the broadest sense), ie..... Jason Riotflyer Wolfie Jabroni Quartz Rick Sluggo Westfire Icarium Wise Trippnu (plus those 'Ive forgotten!) Beer and food to be laid on, invitation extends to WAGs etc, a yea or nay from those listed plus the forgotten others would be appreciated, along with any dietary preferences, if the date is a major problem then we can be flexible, but sadly past experience usually points to it being impossible to find dates that will suit everyone, so my apologies in advanced.

Righto well been waiting for the right weekend to come up so that some of you guys could come out and play around on the farm and get all dusty. The weekend of the EKKA better known as the 6TH,7TH and 8TH i think would be that right time before we plant. Its very soft where i havn't rolled it, can't do it all otherwise we wont grow crops off it. so given that i'd say mids to fats would be the go but barrows will work just be like having brakes. Never mind we'll find somewhere. Will be luanching from the paddock so if you don't like getting your kite dusty i got a 40foot trap we could use. I will try and get a pic of my face and where i rolled so you know how dirty your going to get and what the ground looks like. Ok I am hanging out for some good tide times and wind. This weekend bribie has lows at 1.41pm Sat and 2.21pm Sun. I am keeb to go out one of those days (some wind required) but if anyone has any plans to go either day, well its always more fun with someone, so let me know which day and count me in.
