Sorry ,but that's not strictly true. When I phoned up and asked for a permit I was asked to fill in a form, which she would post to me, post that and a copy of my insurance back and then would have to wait 4-5 days for my permit to arrive. However, I did just turn up and fly and had no problems.
Dont know if anyone has said this , make sure you can get your whole foot across the board with your toes over the far edge. If you dont the board will arc out as soon as you start moving. V V frustrating. Whatever happens stick with it. So worth it! Good luck

Two things.
Can I use a Zero 4 bar and lines with a 14m Slingshot Fuel? Felt ok when I tried it on land but just wondering.
Also, I have a Cabrinha board, the footstraps are supposed to be adjustable but are extremely tight, to the extent that if I were wearing boots I would not be able to get my feet in them. As I am just starting off I wondered if this would have any effect on the ride?

Thanks for all your help. May see a few of you before the match next week. I see high tide is about 8.30-when is the beach "boardable" as in KGB?
