  1. Hi, I've been power kiting for a few years on and off and always liked the idea of kitesurfing. On holiday to Cornwall this year inspired me again, with surfing and watching the kitesurfers at watergate. So I was looking at lessons as that would seem the only proper way of getting into it safely and the only way my dad would allow me. The problem is they will only allow people over 18 due to insurance. Is this age limit a national thing, or just extreme acadamy?
  2. I flew it in Cornwal with nice 10mph clean onshore winds all week It flys alot slower and smoother with alot less pull than i thought. But its on 150lb 25 metre lines which werent perfect but they do. i have noticed another tiny tear in the sail, but it will be patched up as soon as i visit leisure lakes. So im very pleased with the kite, and thankyou Davey
  3. In power kite it mentions kite biking, this sounded a good idea but will never catch on i thought. But now ive just found this it sounds quite fast, and good for light winds, be quite horrible jumping though

  5. Hello, my name is Scott and i have a confession to make. I've not been kiting for almost a year I bought a 4m PKD Buster about a year ago with my pocket money, and when you my age that amount of money does not come around very often. Ive not flown that PKD. Im probaly in the worst place to kite ever as the Its very uncommon to have winds without rain, and when there is winds my parents are often at work, shopping or cant be botherd to take me kiting. I have a mountain board too, ive rode that many times without a kite but have never been allowed to try kite boarding without some experianced kiter watching and instructing me I have just bought a Prism Elixir for a mere £36 and havnt been able to fly that yet either. But in one week im going to cornwall were the beach is 50m away with plenty of wind. Im staying about half a mile away from watergate bay too But i doubt il be allowed to fly the buster even though i bought it with my own money, or try kite boarding. ...confession over...
  6. Have you received the cheque? Im hoping theres good winds in Cornwall when i get there in 2 weeks Roughly how big is it folded up? as im hoping it will fit into the roof box, i think its just more than half of its length(2.36 metres) but im not sure EDIT: It's here now I've not seen the folding tips before but it makes it alot smaller when put away, is there any type of locking mechanism as they seem to collapse under the weight when its standing on the wing tips. It looks amazing though 2nd EDIT: Just found the instruction manual on their website .It's all good
  7. I've just bought a Prism Elixir off ebay for £36, sorry if i outbid any of you. I looked around before and found that they were selling for £180 new, but this one has a small tear in it. Is this still a good deal? and what length lines do you recommend cheers, Scott
  8. i have found a magazine all about land kiting. It is called Powerkite and costs £3.25 from a WHsmiths. hope that helps
