  1. I was boarding on Saunton on Saturday and we got asked to stop by some bloke on a tractor. He seemed to think we were on Land Yachts! There is a notice next to the car park saying landboards not permitted (one of three boards, all banning buggying and landyachting). The answer though is to fly a bigger kite and do some serious skidding!
  2. After years of mountain biking, running and swimming I got a flexifoil orbit for Christmas last year. Very quickly this has escalated as you see in my toy collection. I find I am constantly checking wind conditions http://skylinkweather.com/metar/metarmapindex.php?stationid=EGGD and forecasts and can't wait to go kiting again. Even worse, after 3 or 4 hours with the Blade III and my arms being pulled out of their sockets I have to launch it 'just one more time'. So, Is Kiting a past-time, hobby, sport or obsession? In my opinion too painful to be either a past-time or hobby, and I'm obsessing too much for it to be a sport. Now, where's the wind?
  3. I have bought 3 kites - but only have one. The 4.9 Blade III is too big for 'er indoors.
  4. Jim, When you zig zag your lines is that all four together? Am trying to find an easy way to unpack and fly. The flexi method of figure of eights around handles leaves me with a right old mess. Thanks
  5. First time flying Blade III 4.9m last weekend, for 3 hours on handles. Felt like I'd played a game of rugby against 15 Gavin Hensons afterwards.
  6. I find the flexi handles great but partner Ellie struggles with her tiny hands. She finds the main line cuts into index/middle finger, as if it needs more padding. Any ideas?
  7. Voted Blade III, but only cause that's what I have. 3.0m, 4.9m Blade III
