  1. harry, where did you have the chance to try it, please let me know!
  2. Guys, just as info "teippiviritykset" means kind of "things made of duck tape " in english
  3. Just as Gonzo said, have both I have a dirtsurfer flexideck and also a MBS. For cruizing definitely the Dirtsurfer and for tricks and less space the mountainboard. Since I use a Kitewing 5.5 PRO , I have seen that it's actually easier for people to learn to use the dirtsurfer with the kitewing than downhill. The wing simply supports you, so you can even stand still on the dirtsurfer. Ronald from Belgium did on the other hand 84km/h on a mbs +kitewing 4.8, but to turn that board was pure horror . In case you wanna do also downhill, then definitely the dirtsurfer to begin with!
  4. Just heard rumours that Ronald from Belgium had done 84 km/h on MBS mountainboard and skimbat 4.8, pretty good! The speed had been measured actually over 84 km/h, but the guys took some speed of to secure fair measurement.
  5. And a video of the record: http://www.allinline.ch/index.htm

Check out this video from Canada, would love to go there myself, perhaps somewhere in the future? http://www.velumgravity.com/videos/ilesdelamadwmv.wmv
  9. Have a 5.5 PRO, my jumps have not been that high perhaps 3m, but seen guys doing up to 7m in height!
  10. Hi guys, the speed record is now 61,7km/h with inlines, have a look at : http://www.svk1.com/gallery_view.asp?lang=2&id=182&kitewing=1 and http://www.skywings.fi/news.php
  11. I think that the common insurance for dangerous sports are ok. In finland Kitewing is not even considered as a dangerous sport, but powerkiting is. Don't know about uk policy, but many have a very good insurance through their work. Very good cover for everything from nordic walking to skydiving
  12. it's weighless when there's enough wind!
  13. If you are shure that the boom is upside down, it's simply to remove the screw at the nose. Turn the boom 180 degress and drill a 2mm hole ( in the black nose joint) and fasten the screw.
  14. Personally I like skis with as big radius as possible ( fast and doesen't cut in to the snow when leaning), secondly if you do snowkiting or kitewing riding a lot it might good to consider two pairs of skis, one for really hard ground ( ice) and one for very soft snow. Remeber also that fresh snow might be stickier than sand so even phat skis might not help. Also the fatter skis you have, the harder they are to turn, so you should be an experienced skier for them. Kitewing rider Patrick Blom uses three different skis, Head Moster IM 85 ( with telemark bindings), HEAD MAD TRIX for hard surface and Head mad trix mojo for soft surface. Heard from him that the MOJO's was mostly used last winter. By the way there is a short video of him riding in HEAD's webpages! ( http://www.head.com/ski/411_ENG_HTML.php) Old grand slalom works very good on hard surface and costs next to nothing, very popular among kitewing racers!
