Sorry to hijack your thread guys, but I'm an "not-so-regular" flyer nowadays from Basingstoke and looking to shift my harness that only got used once. Other commitments and the world of longboarding have taken over, so not out flying as much. Well, greetings Fire Exit, Spudley, Fish, Sean, Andy et al (apologies to anyone I missed)......guess who's back!! Got 3 weeks left of these lush School Summer Hols and I feel I need to reinvent my passion for all things slightly dangerous!! Just bought myself a nice longboard for those no wind days to throw myself down hills and generally clown around on, but need to dust off the kite gear from under the stairs too!! Morning all.....am back from my jaunt to Spain and looking forward to finally enjoying the Summer Hols!! Haven't been out for ages, but always up for a "social"!!

Ah, how jealous am i? Whereabouts in 'nam are you at present....you coming up from Saigon or down from Hanoi.....be warned Vietnam's a big ol' place and if you're coming down from Hanoi, make sure you give yourself time....you taking the "tourist bus"?! Mui Ne's very chilled....a lot quieter than Nha Trang (party-beachside-place). Go see the MASSIVE dunes in Mui Ne....they are amazing and the enterprising locals can give you a board for a few $$ to throw yourself down them on....NUTS! Get yourself to Mui Ne for sure...........stayed there for a few days (Nov '03) and saw plenty of kitesurfers.....I believe the main place is here http://www.kitesurf-vietnam.com. Seemed like a good range of equipment and instruction and got talking to one bloke who said they were very chilled out and helpful ensuring you know EXACTLY what you're doing.... t_c........reckon the gloves are the way to go....best 15 squid you'll spend and saves mucking around with handles. Use mine too for mountainbiking and they don't make your hands THAT hot....padding in all the right places and they fit....."like a glove" surprisingly enuff..... SORRY!!

Have been seconded down to foreign parts.........well, Trowbridge anyway, and I'm wondering if anyone's about around 5:30pm for a fly, up at Westbury White Horse? Got the board, bego, blade (plus suitable padding & insurance) in car and my head up there after a tough *ahem* day in the office! Might see some of you Wilts lot up there?! TM

Bought myself a Bego a while back and also use a Blade II 4m......quite a good coverage of wind range with both kites.....especially with the summer winds dropping!! Try and demo the Bego and see what you think?!.......

Sod the harness.....how much for the girl?! Looks a bit sour in first photo, but "cheesy-flip-flops-on-sofa-pose" aint bad?! :D

Gonna be working down in Trowbridge Thursday and Friday this week and just looking at possible places to kite & board (weather permitting)......hopefully will get some bego flying time in too, so if anyone's about....give me a holla!

A man is dining in a fancy restaurant and there is a gorgeous Redhead sitting at the next table. He has been checking her out since he sat down, but lacks the nerve to talk with her. After paying for everything, she asks him if he would like to come to her place for a nightcap and stay for breakfast. They had a wonderful, wonderful time. The next morning, she cooks a gourmet meal with all the trimmings. The guy is amazed! ! Everything had been SO incredible! !! ! "You know, " he said, "you are the perfect woman. Are you this nice to every guy you meet? " "No, " she replies. . . . . . . . " "You just happened to catch my eye. " (oh behave, I just forward them, I don't write them! ) :D :D :D
