  2. Hi Folks, Just wanted to get some clarity on the kiting situation in Northampton as I'm keen to dust of my kit and get back out again. What bans are currently in place round the Northampton area and which places and suitable for buggying?
  3. Hi Folks, Its been a while since I was last on this forum or even been out buggying. Whats the kiting like at Upton these days - any restrictions?
  4. Hiya folks! Happy new year. Its been a while since I last went buggying or visited this forum and just wanted to catch up with things. Anyone still kiting in or around Northamnpton these days? I take that there's still a ban on down at Sixfields? Where are people flying these days? Would like to know as am dying to get back out in the buggy!!! Ta muchly.
  5. Hi All, Its been just over a year since I last buggied at Sixfields and have been trying to catch up with the posts on this thread, but there's too many. Can someone briefly fill me in on the situation with the Sixfields flying site? Apologies for the post, but I haven't visited the forum for over a year and Sixfields is a local flying site for me. Ta muchy!
  6. Are you running directly from the server or are you downloading and saving it first? I can get it to work on my PC (Windoze XP) at work using winamp. I have another film I did of Middle Wallop last year. Give that a try. Both films can be found > and seem to work fine under windoze. I'd be grateful if someone can confirm that these work on other machines. Ta muchly.
  7. Alreet! Just re-done the filming from the weekend in mpeg format (complete with sound). Try this and let me know >>click here
  8. Apologies to all you non-Linux users I'll redo the vid in another file format when I get home later
  9. Right! Finally got my ass in gear and have managed to put together the filming I did on Sunday up at Sixfields. As expected, the mini wireles cameras weren't brilliant but have managed to pull off some footage and bundle it together quickly. It's not Oscar winning stuff and was never meant to be, but I hope that anyone who watches it enjoys it. You can download it by clicking here (This is downloading from my webserver at home so be patient) Let me know what you think!!!
  10. Nice one Might squeeze a session in on Sunday if the weather is good.
  11. Hiya Whats Sixfields like for buggying? I've used the Racecourse before, but wasn't too keen as you don't get a clean enough wind. Are there any restrictions to buggying there?
  12. Another great Wallop weekend!! A BIG Thank you to Mel and the other event organisers for putting together such a great and well organised event. More of the same please!!!
  13. Having recently moved to Northampton, I've realised that that several of the East Coast beaches are within a reasonable distance of where I lived. Can anybody tell me, which beaches are best for buggying? Thanks in advance.
  14. Have you tried looking for campsite numbers on www.yell.com ? It might prove more helpful to have a phone around. As for the tidal prediction, might want to try using easytide Hope this helps.
  15. I passed by Pinkeys Green last week for the first time in over a month and noticed the grass was cut. Gave the national trust warden a ring just to confirm the temporary ban was over and he said it was, now that the grass was cut. He advised that all kiters (buggiers/boarders) stay down the southern end of the field and to not stray to far to the northern side so as to let horses pass by (so as not to startle them I would imagine). Did not know this originally, but thought I'd pass on his message to everyone who did not know this either. Forgive me if I'm repeating old news as I have been away from the forum for the last couple of months and have not caught up yet. Anyways, seeing as a few of you plan to meet up tonight, I'm gonna try and get my lazy ass into gear and head on over, circustances permitting. Looking forward to buggying as Wallop was the last time I managed to get out.
  16. Trade them in for PKD Busters
  17. Just looked at the BBC website to check the 5 day forecast. Looks like Wednesday could be a good start with winds looking to pick up some more towards the end of the week. I've been busy the last few weekends so have not been buggying for a while Chance for me to try my new 7m or maybe the 5.5m Busters I bought a couple of weeks ago. God I need to do some flying soon!
  18. The girlfriend and I usually watch it. That is when I'm not on shift. Top program.
