Hi all, just putting the feelers out to see who's flying in Leicestershire. Would like to link up with flyers in the weekdays and also looking for a decent place to landboard as the local parks within Leicester just ain't sufficient.

Hi all, I'm from the east coast where Fraisthorpe is my local beach for land boarding. It's very weather dependant for usability, like many other places, so i'd like to put a list together of all beaches and open grassland areas where kiting is permitted in the north of england and midlands. Is there a list of spots already out there? If not, can you tell me the places you know and any useful information like where to park and fees (if any), if membership is needed, or anything else of use. If there's not one out there i may try and find time to build a website or just use google maps to list them with some info for each one. Thanks Chris

You may have read the news on the Airbossworld website, and seen the posting I've made in Events about the launch day on 14/8/2011. I thought I'd start a more general thread on the Midlands Airsports Club to continue on from the "Airbossworld Thread". The key bit is this: So, Midlands Airsports Club now run the airfield and apart from some sponsorship (cheers, guys) 1080 as a business has nothing to do with the running (we will encourage Gary and Elly to join MASC, so you might see them there). This is a pay to fly venue (£10 day-fly), insurance is a requirement and helmets are essential for traction kiting. The website is Home - Midlands Air Sports Cl…

http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa330/Urbex156/MASCBoxingBash-1.jpg Leave all your Christmas indulgences behind and come to the MASC Airfield for some fresh air and kiting action. Did you ask Santa for a new kite? Come fly it with us on Boxing Day. Lets keep our fingers crossed for a white Christmas so we can all get out our snowboard and skis for some awesome MASC snowkiting action, ok so it isn't the Alps, and we probably won't get any snow, but who cares, we have 52 acres of airfield dedicated to traction kiting with ramps and a nice warm clubhouse So wether you landboard or buggy, the grass will still be lush and we also have a runway and ramps for adrena…

Hi, I've found a potential site at a Leisure Centre that has opened at the School near me. I've contacted them, and they are very interested in us kiters using the fields, out of school hours, obviously, and when not booked for other activities. My eventual aim would be to get enough interest so sessions are put on the Leisure Centre timetable, and you just show up and pay per session, rather than having to start up a club, with membership, rules...politics. 53.110411,-1.272418 - Google Maps It's completely open to the West and North, okay from South and East. It's on a good road and has carpark, loos, changing. To be honest, logistics wise, it probab…

A small number of us are heading down to the fields near the boots factory in nottingham today (in 30mins). Loads of room to fly and it wont interfere with the football at power league as its not on thier land. 15mph at the moment and its not blowing over any land masses to mess with the wind. If it gets going well we could see about setting up a gathering etc
