  3. Here, here - Rooney needs to grow up if he can't take a bit of a windup with out lashing out like a spoilt child. Andy
  4. I use a StarBoard Switch 180 classic TT board. I was strugaling with the Storm in that it seemed a little heavy for the wind as others were up and going with 12/14 meter F-Ones, Cabrinhas etc. and on one ocation the storm didint want to climb the window from launch. One of the local kiters checked the setup and test flew the kite and came to the same conclusion as myslef that it needed a bit more wind than others kites of the same size. Cheers Andy
  5. Hi, I am a begineer with a problem.................So whats new? Since completeing a 2 day couse 18 months ago I have had little chance to get out on the water due to work and family, and when I did manage to get the chance I struggled each time with not enough wind for my current kite STORM II 14m. I am loking at getting a couple of new kites (one now and another in a few months time when the money reserve has built up again). I have decided to go with the RECON C02 and would apreciate any suggestions on what size to go for. I weigh 95kg and will be haninging on to the storm. I was thinking about a 12 and 17m for stronger and lighter winds but not sure in which order to get them. I will be hitting the beach a lot more this year as my new job gives more a lot more time to share between the family and the beach. Any help would be good, am I looking at the right sizes etc. Thanks
  6. I have a roll over hoop from square metre fitted to by Libre. Very comfy and nice to brace against.
  7. As it's nearly xmas maybe the rain will give way to snow...........now that should be fun!!!!! Just looked out the window and the rain has stoped but hay I'm stuck in the office and there is feck all wind. Wind looks OK for the weekend though.
  8. Thanks for the replies so far, Cheers Andy
  9. What do people use for the number boards on their buggies? I want to make/buy a set of number boards for my Libre as more and more sites require you to display BBC/PKA numbers when buggying. And was wondering what people use to make them or where you can buy them? Cheer Andy
  10. OK.......OK I get the massage I will go out this weekend rain or shine if the wind is up for it. Cheers Andy
  11. With all the rain we are having at the moment I'm afraid the Libre will just sink without trace in all the mud. If it's still raining at the weekend I might just have to go out anyway. I'd rather start dry and get wet and not start wet and get wetter Cheers Andy
  12. Brought a second-hand Libre Full race at the weekend (thanks Malcolm) and now all I need is the weather to use it. So far I have spent a couple of hours getting soaked trying to work out the best way of getting in or on the car without taking it to bits and sat in it in the garage having a smoke whilst contemplating haw to get it on/in the car. Looking at the forecast on UK weather it looks like I’m going to need water wings and XXXXXL kite to use it in the near future, wet and little or no wind for the next 10 days. Oh well if the weather doesn’t sort it self out at least I’ve got a very comfy mobile armchair to sit in. Cheers Andy Hoping for some half descent weather
  13. Thanks SteveP. Andy-P

  16. Just had my first go with the buggy. Managed several runs back and forth across a smallish filed just under a miles worth and only lost 25meters down wind. Need to sort out my position against the wind as most of the turns were half way round stop then pull the kite across the wind and hang on for dear life. Great acceleration. Its amassing how fast 12mph feels when your backside is only 2” off the ground 10 - 15mph gusty wind, 4m Buster an PL Comp with XR seat. Got to take my daughter into town now so hopefully get out again tomorrow. Cheers Andy
  17. I tend to fly @ Carpenters down or the fottie pitches on Gershwin road brighton Hill. Have'nt been boarding for long so try to avoid flying were I might get in the way. Too busy to fly tommorow but will probably come over to Crabtree next weekend.
