  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHYXrqoS08o pretty cool, huh?
  2. First time I seen the guy get dragged thru the shade tents... pretty funny if not for the danger bit... and yea, the tophat one is getting pretty old.... Seany
  3. Well wishes from across the pond! Heres to a very quick recovery and smoother wind next year!! Seany
  4. 17mph on the water? under human power? I would have liked to see video.... seany
  5. I am looking for entry level cheap kites for friends/kids to fly. I will be buying several and like the idea of keeping them in the same line. So for those of you that have time on both the above kites, which one is the better flying kite? Better made? Or is there another alternative in a simillar price range that I should look into? I would gladly go for Sami's or Bullets, but the whole price thing gets in the way... so what do you thinkk? Seany
  6. Anyone had one up? What are the improvements over the original?
  7. I've had a few quick runs with a G 15m. I was VERY suprised at how fast it was. I was easily pulling ahead of a 4.5 razor... Granted the size difference is not really fair, but it suprised me just the same... Seany
  8. I had the pleasure of trying a 4-8 static in VERY light wind. Pulled amazingly hard for such little wind. A little trickier to get on with if you are coming from fixed bridles... Seany
  9. Well, it wouldnt be a frenzy or venom, but the price ist that either. I was just wondering if the bridle was setup int he way to make it an easy transition. If not, then it would be alot more work... Seany
  10. The Pansh Blaze 12.5 is cheepies! Anyone thought of applying a depower bridle to it? How hard would it be? Is the bridle sectioned from front to back along the cells or is it arranged intraditional A, B, C and D lines? Seany
  11. verry mellow, sweet way to capture the mood of croozing!! Seany
  12. YOU are NOT alone!! I live in Phoenix, AZ and I have been buggying for about 5 years. Mostly alone. You need to go to NABX the first week of April, it is like Mecca for buggiers in North America, that precious rock for a crakho, the ring for gollum, you get the idea... The point is there are more of us and we are as anxious to meet you as you are to meet us! Go here: http://www.nabx.net/ and register, you will be amazed to see so many kites in the sky. You can camp on the lakebed, or you can stay at a nice hotel just a 5 minute drive from "Buggytown" I am attending the pre-event also, which makes it a 9 day buggy retreat/sabbatical for me. I usually camp mostly and stay just a night or 2 in the hotels to scrub off a layer of dirt. You wont believe how fast the hard surface is, and your kite skills will improve a lot just from being around other buggiers. You owe yourself this!! Seany
  13. I have seen a phantom tied off (safely downwind of camp) for 3 or 4 hours with no imput whatsoever. I pay more attention to single line kites! Seany
  14. Rasga, You are right. I had a closer look on their site and there is deffo a bridle. Looks like some really floaty jumps, though, especially for a 2 liner. Does anyone know the artist on that song? It is TOO GOOD! Seany
  15. I went to http://www.mandibule.fr and it looks like a french company is making huge stackers! Copyright infringement, anyone? Maybe I am wrong, but they sure look like Flexi Stackers! Seany
  16. Loks like 80s film quality and with a 2 line kite, too. But the kicker is the AWESOME song. Does anyone know who it is? Seany
  17. hey, ExDude what are the dimensions on those tires. I have a PL XR+ but it came with the standard 8x4 tires. That looks mean with wider ones! Sean
  18. I got a few miles in with a borrowed Montana 7. Static it seemed to want to collapse the tips, but may have been a tiny bit underpowered. Once moving in the buggy it was a blast. I have never tried a Frenzy in the bug, but the Montana is a sweet kite! Seany
  19. depends on how wide... You will not fit BFLs on, but a wide should fit.
  20. man, that is why I wear a full face lid! Hope it all heals up OK!! Seany
  21. I am looking for a good depower kite for buggying. I have tried a few including a PL Geurilla 15, FS Voodoo 7, and a HQ Montana 7. Of the 3, I liked the Montana the best. Way good features, great safety, easy launch and land. My only gripe would be tip colapsing at the edge of the window, but this was easily shaken out and not once did a tip wrap get so bad I had to park it and go to the kite. So, why is this "cheap" kite like this a better one for buggying? And what kites do you like? Seany wants to know! Sean
  22. They dont open, so I neeed to remove the steering line... but I traced that down to several more lines and again, more connections. I was gonna try it in my living room, but that was a bad idea. Oh well, something to do on a no-wind day at the field.. Cheers! Sean
  23. So, it looks like I need to start all the way back at the flying line attached to the bar leaders. Is there a shortcut? and if so, what???? This is my first time dis-assembling a flysurfer bridle, and I dont want to be sorting out a rats nest by the time I am done! Any advice appreciated!! Sean
  24. Hanging from a bridge sound like the most fun idea of tethered flying I have heard of! For my 2cents, I think we should continue to discourage tethered flying on this board and others like this one, (a) because because there is not a dedicated place for it and (b) because this forum is for 4line ramair foils/LEIs and the like. Maybe FF (or another forum) should step up and give those interested in tethered flying a place to openly discuss safe and dangerous techniques. At the very least, cross-promote a site that deals with it, because it is not going away, and a lack of knowledge is dangerous thing. Sean
  25. I just picked up a Voodoo 7meter. I was wondering about the windrange for buggying with it? Can anybody give me a rough idea? I will have miles of flat and a race bug to try it out with, and I come in at about 15 stone. Thanks!
