  1. The Kenda's have arrived in Melbourne today....so you may expect to collect them any day now and then ROCK--ON!! btw... I would set up the rear axle a little lower, the neatral stand is the second hole from the top...start from there ;-) Btw...delighted I found that one customer (or rather he found me) who's even further from GT-Race headquarters that south-east Australia. Alomost figured it wouldn't be possible....... but it is :-)
  2. looks like it's designed to fit the buggy, perfect!!
  3. Those might fit quitewell, same solution Bart Bristow from Wales (UK) used on his. Next time a springer fork..?
  4. Best is to contact me by mail with a list of preferences and your height, weight and trouser sizes for that. The Rapide Jr. is an 80% scaled model of the Rapide, which means everything is scaled down. The width of the buggy is made to fit, but you can imagine there has to be some kind of logical geometry to a buggy. Most adults will fit the regular Rapide++, if one really should fall short in lenght but still has a 'normal' adult posture there are a few things that will help to make the buggy fit. The Jr. was really build for kids and small adults, I have sold a few for kids, small women and tiny Malysian guys... who have, compared to European, a 'kiddy' posture.
  5. I think you should check the order page a little more thoroughly on prices ;-). Anyways Joel did get such a set for free for all the efford he has put in to get the order done. Don't know if he tried it yet, it takes a little practise.
  6. seems your beaches are as wide as ours are long ;-)
  7. try this .... http://gt-race.nl/Rapidejr.php Could be send right away, works like a charm!
  8. So many tyres available on these guys choose those that don't fit ;-) I've tried to stick to the dimensions given to me and avoided large gaps between wheel and fork. But as the variety of wheels and tyres grow we are heading for some problems making them compatible. Solutions: My suggestion... find a local laser cutting company to cut a few sets of the red extension plates as below. I could provide them as well ofcourse but getting them done locally may be much cheaper and I can provide the needed file. The plates can be bolted on with m10 nuts and bolts quite easily and extends the existing fork by 4 cm.
  9. Fiddle around a bit to make it work for your unique situation. Don't make the mistake of strapping your foot to the foorstep, if this 45 kg buggy twists your leg if things go wrong things will get from bad to worse.
  10. C'mon guys now it's time to get some speed in those buggies. 2.6 m² means at least 90-110 km/h... Stephan did 100+ using a 5 m² then again that isn't really from this world ofcourse. If I was you Doug, I would change the rear to 4" as well, pretty sure you will get more speed into the buggy then, this beack looks pretty firm to handle them. Next time I will pack myself in a box to join you on a ride, looks really awesome out there!
  11. Tyres should not be rockhard, with the use of Duro on Cadkat rims, as we use them here it can make a difference of 10 cm on the total diameter. An easy suggestion for some more clearance between the guard and tyre is to make a sleevehole where the guard is attached (the 6mm hole in the guard on top). When this hole is sleeved you can slide the guard backwards a little which really opens the gap at the front. Btw... if we use Kenda's in Europe and we sometimes do we use them on 4" rims or on barrow rims. The tyre then has a realtive good shape and has the same hight as the Duro on Cadkat, is still a little more square. This set-up still fits a normal fork, the 8" version in combi with Kenda is never used in Europe
  12. Guys, really looking impressive so far, man I wish I could be around the help a hand and easily explain things... in fact today I put a buggy together in just 1,5h hour...it can be done ;-) Small things I've seen so far... check your seat straps, they need to go on the OUTSIDE of the reinforcebars, otherwise your hip may get bruised hitting the buckle over and over. another thing is to loop back the seatstraps correctly otherwise they can slip, by looping them back through the ring the straps don't slip.
  13. Ow you don't have to worry about that, you will most likely miss parts from each buggy as thay are all scattered over the four boxes, forks with forks, tubes with tubes, 4 left siderails in one box, four right in the other.... and so on. Succes with the puzzle, if you don't get it togehter don't hit each other over the head out of frustration!
  14. That is rocketship fast indeed, picked up monday at 16:00h, it's now thursday 07:00h
  15. Boxes ready to be shipped to the exact other side of this earth.
