This is a real monster in excellent condition. Looking for $120 ono. PRICE DROP $80!!!! http://www.foreverflying.com/kiteboard.html for a bit of a review. Due to size this is pick up only. Pics and stuff will be available when I get back off my hols. PM me or call me on 0448 530113 cheers grog
  2. Why not auction it on here to the highest bidder with a specific closing date...why give ebay a %? only a suggestion. Think the charity idea is excellent. obviously i will be bidding whilst keeping everything secret from the wife :-) cheers grog

  6. morning all, Holiday booked starting next saturday...I cant wait. 4 days in caloundra and the remaining 7 in noosa.......God I hope there is wind. so, the question i have is.....where to kite in those two great locations and what kit should i drag up there with me. I was considering 12m rhino and 15m instinct with a couple of boards. maybe the 10m ocean rodeo. I will mostly be looking for flat water as i am not skilled enough for the waves as yet. Also, I take it there would be little point in lugging a 4/3 wetsuit up there with me? board shorts and a rashie do? thanks in advance for any advice. Grog
  7. aha - a beer funded pump! I like the sound of that!
  8. oh my.....I appear to have got crabs... Who could I have gotten them off......................surely the salt water will wash em off. :-)

  10. Jo, I dont wax any lines on the bridles etc but I do wax the depower ropes..makes a huge difference on the fraying etc extends the life of the centre line and all that. I got this advice from a guy in the UK who swore by it....however, you dont arf get funny looks when you walk into a snowboarding shop in leeds and say can I have some SexWax to a new girl behind the register. I think she wanted to call the police about me until the store manager explained I wasnt a pervert..... ah well - u live and learn... now I go into australian surf shops and demand to know why they have so few pairs of budgie smugglers in a 42 inch waist!!!! grog
  11. by eck them look comfy.........far too comfy for old fellas like me boys... I remember the days when me mum used to nail me feet to the board and send me out t catch dolphins while deliverin whale meat to the eskimos in antarctica.....then i ad t be back to brush the sand flat on st kilda beach and lickin t road clean ready fer proper kite surfers to arrive in t mornin.... I dream of t day I could ave bindins like them......dream I say......... they are backless arent they? I remember now....me mum used to call em "Slingbacks"!!

  14. Hi all, A couple of questions for all of ya... Has anyone tried the Dakine fusion or ION kite shorts / Harness? I was talking to a guy at st kilda yesterday who thought they were fantastic and I just wanted other peoples opinions. Currently using mystic warrior waist harness. Additionally, I am considering these shorts so that I can pick up an impact vest / PFD for when I belly flop into the water (and its a big belly to flop). So, what are your preferences in the impact vest stakes? Roll on summer..............beware fat blokes on kiteboards!!! Cheers Grog
  15. having been blessed with the priviledge of being on the same beach at the same time as Popeyes panther (or was it the fandango) .......Cleethorpes 2006......... Many are the days I dream of returning to the ever windy beach having saved enough cash to procure such a monumental engineering achievement of buggishness! However, I now really understand what cold is and there is no way I am going out in less than 3 degrees C ever again! That aside - popeyes buggys are a thing to wrend the heart when you know you cant afford one of your own. i will stick to my libre and libre special.......till the wife lets me spend my own money. grog
  16. wolfie, 100% behind your comments mate.............. There is a huge amount of time spent by great people running this site.......great input, great presentation. I am at a complete loss as to how they can be seen to be selling out? Joel, Gav and all the rest, keep up the good work. I am sure it is time that us lot bought you a few beers (red wines) in return. If everyone else has already bought you beer and wine then it is my shout..... grog
  17. to be honest i flew it most in the uk on cleethorpes beach with a lot of other different kites (fixed bridle and viokites). it just worked for me as it were. better in higher wind though. so in terms of overlap i couldnt tell you...didnt someone once say all arcs are good? being a really fat bugger i need to be on water so i can float home nowadays. cheers r

  19. Hi all, This kite isnt getting loved anymore as I dont get to go landboarding very often. Spending too much time on the water with those inflateable thingymajigs. Kite is in good condition on a naish bar with fairly new lines. It has a small repair on one of the spar holder things. Flys really well and has heaps of lift. Go on = give a poor kite a good home. $570 ono. PM me on here or 0448 530113 PRICE DROP - NOW $400 Cheers Grog
  20. Hi all, I am looking for some holiday destinations where I can go kiting but it must be a location where my kids and wife can do their thing as well. Planning on going in September school hols. (1 kite in each childs luggage hehehe.....) Does anyone else have the same problem? I do actually want to try and get the wife back into kiting again after her superman experience with a 3m radsail. So sunny climbs - sea and all that.....may be the ticket. Cheers in advance. Grog
  21. Hi all, Is there anyone out there who wants to sell a good condition 13m 07 instinct sport OR a 12m 07 north Rhino? With Bar. If you do and its a reasonable price then PM me with your phone number and I will give you a call. Cheers... Richard
