  2. Wots the gwr for landboard then? Because i was with a women two weeks ago at pembrey who beat her pb on her trampa and lei 36.1mph i think it was. must be close to womens record on a landboard?

    forks

Yep no reason why it won't work, my buggy has mounts for infront, behind and below fork. But it will effect towpoint, any bodyweight movement will effect towpoint, i should know have been playing around trying to sort ballance of my buggy for months and footpegs been moved a few inches make a big difference.
  4. Powerkiteshop list all the parts for zero 7 bar, not sure if they have them in stock tho?
  5. Yep tell him to jog on, some people are chancers and take the piss. you gave him the chance was it ebay? or paypal, he could still take the piss yet trying to get refund through paypal. he should of spoke to you when he took delivery, now he has flown it who's to say he ain't caused wear and tear?
  6. Which beach are you thinking of going too? some are much better than others for landboarding.
  7. Yep just shake sand off, pack it away then when you get home open it out in the garden and shake it down again and let it air a bit just incase it got damp on beach. lines will be fine but same again just air them and shake of dry sand.
  8. M8x30 should do it, ebay have it all in stainless, m8x30 hexhead 4 of m8 nyloc nuts 4 of m8 washers 8 of get them in a2 or a4 marine stainless for a few quid
  9. You Picked a good week then Damian, There will be 200 of us there this weekend for the NB15 event
  10. Not sure how much the repair is going to cost, have spoken to jonnie eisler and will take it down to him. he will have to open it up to repair one of the internal ribs that has split 3/4 of the way down . hope it can be sorted for under £60 I picked it up cheap so will still be worth it. I may get the 10.2m next to sort of make a set with my ozone methods.
  11. Good points: The smaller to mid sizes are as fast as the vapor so i am told, easy to fly, cheap to buy for a stable race type kite, should have a good re-sale price. Bad points: they are made to a budget and have been known to be fragile blowing cells, my 4.4m is off to the repairers with a blown cell. To be fair as long as you don't nosedive it airintake into the ground or another buggy drive through it you should be fine
  12. I bought a ozone yakusa 6m off ANDYC wow next day delivery kite in mint as new condtion very pleased. Top seller nice to deal with no problems 10/10
  13. 10m ozone access is a great allround safe depower kite, But do your homework one of the year models don't have the trimstrap which i have heard can be a problem. I have 3 or 4 friends that use accesses in buggys and they love them.
  14. A bigfoot should give more of a wider tread footprint than the bfl so should give more grip? the bigfoot rim i think weighs more so all in with a bit more weight and wider footprint should equel more planted frontend. I run bigfoots allround, but see a few with bigfoots on rear and big foot light on front. my frontend is super grippy and never lets go but have a big problem with backend sliding out all too easy so will put that down to ballance problem, need to get more weight over front
  15. yep pembrey open all week 24/7 just checkup tide times for burry port, looking at google maps a southerly has to be best bet for pendine.
  16. not flown pendine yet because wind has allways been a sw which is cockon for pembrey, mod bomb pendine in the week so only flyable at weekends. you have to be a member of the clsc to fly either of the beaches or have a day permit with a member present. think pendine works with a southerly but not sure, and its a 32 mile drive between beaches.
  17. glad its made it more useable for you but be carefull it don't completley turn them into a big softy. a 6.6m lll in 13-15mph on low lift setting will still lift you out the buggy as you send it up to zenith on the turns, so take it to zenith slow or downloop it before it gets to zenith. yep high lift grunty setting is a pain for any flexi with triple A fitted to get off the ground, you allso have to adjust the brakes when you go from the low lift to high lift setting.
  18. cool vid was that on the saturday or the sunday? I flew sat on my 7.3 yak. great weekend
  19. Talybont is fine went there a few years ago and there was a few buggies and boarders, barmouth has banned it because it has a small beach. further up you have is it blackrock/portmadog.
  20. us kite buggy racers and cruisers use £20 pop up tents to store kit in, Now it ain't foolproof but it means the thieves have to realy cross that line and have no excuses if caught. have had people walk up to my tent and wonder, but never had anybody unzip and look in.
  21. that looks like it has loads of life left in it yet, just get some kite line wax to protect it and smooth it out.
  22. the reason i spoke to her was how impressed i was with it, think we were flying 5m kites maybe bigger, and not sure wot size she had but no bigger than 3m and ok yes we were passing her but took a while to reel her in, it was punching way above its weight.
  23. I spoke to a women last year at pembrey flying a similar kite, i asked her was it a predator or skytiger or viper, she said sort of, she knows the designer of those kites and he made it for her. so i presume thats merkovic, and he has in the past made non production kites for friends. so at a guess not to piss flexifoil off he has made mk1's without the end flaps so not to breech copyright?
  24. born kites.de produce a good range of there nasa star 2 kites, but speak to BigE on sizes because these things pull like hell even with the smaller sizes in not much wind. they are slow tho compared to a fixed bridal foil and not great upwind, but the pull is just insane.
  25. I don't even bother trying to buggy in less than 10-12mph winds not worth the effort unless you have a 15m or 21m flysurfer your blade will be fine in 12-15mph. the trouble with low wind fixed bridals is they have to be light weight race kites that need smooth onshore beach winds and are a nightmare inland.
