  1. This is provisionally sold. Thanks for the interest.
  2. Tornado T1 sadly up for sale - need the cash to finance a new bike, and the bug's not been out the shed for the best part of 12 months: would rather it got used. Pogona forks and down tube. Barrow front wheel, midi rears. Blue BuggyBags seat and kite bag. The bag is less than 2 years old, the seat is older... but in good nick. Backrest Spreader bar behind the seat near the axle - saves having to unthread the seat every trip. With the exception of the spreader it's all stainless. Also got a Garmin Geko holder on the down tube. Generally in good condition. The pad cover on the back rest could do with replacing, siderail covers are good, needs new bearing in one rear which I'll try and do before it's sold. Could really do with £240 towards the bike: I'll throw in the Geko GPS at this. Otherwise let me have an offer
  3. Now there's a damned fine idea. Cheers Mick.

  5. http://Www.dmsheds.co.UK - they're building me a shed to my spec and dimensions at the moment. If it ain't shown on their website they'll build it for you. Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Not close, but if you get stuck http://www.robowindsurf.co.uk Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Yo Mick - welcome to the wonderful world of the NASA Wing. One point I really love about them is the complete lack of size when packed - you can get a whole quiver of NPWs in the same space a 5m foil takes up. The lack of lift is great in the buggy too! 8. Oh the joys of product development! You want to try doing it for a living - I've built no end of Frankenthings in the process of trying to get to a happy customer! Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  9. At the risk of sounding like a machine anorak, you sure it's the thread a,nd not the thread tension on the machine set wrong or the workings covered in thread debris? Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  10. Just as a complete aside, is there any way we can hack BigE's account and change his user name to SparkE? Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  11. When E sent the spreadsheet over he mentioned sewing 12.5mm wide nylon webbing into the fold of the seams, basically where you're putting the leach line. The idea then is that rather than having to hit a line with the needle you've got a decent sized web to hit. Once the sewing's done, to bridle up you use a very fine tip soldering iron to go through the fabric and middle of the web to the back of the land then come back through just the fabric, just to the side of the web. Then tie the bridle loop through the two holes. The web he's found is rated at something like 220kg, so is pretty well rated relative to the load it's taking and the bridles going onto it. Sounds straight forward, but my time line will be rip stop controlled: if I find the web before the rip stop turn up, OK, otherwise I'll probably be impatient as usual and leach line it! 12. E has an idea using 12.5mm nylon webbing which I'm going to give a go when the rip stop arrives. Sound reasonably straightforward. Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Where's the like button? Did you get some black rip stop bundled as well? Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Looking forward to the resurrection of the zombie Pirate. Glad you're OK E. Don't go getting yourself fried. At least not til I've got tis sail sewn, bridled and flown 'cos I reckon I'm gonna need a bit of guidance off you and highasakite. On a more serious note, you need a buggy bag off John to keep your camera handy - always wondered how the Nat Grid guys clear the lines. Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Sound interesting E. Do I start sewing yet or do I wait? This is worse than picking the right moment to buy a new PC! Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  16. So, do you go tearing out to buy the new kites and gear and trade/eBanter your old stuff? Or do you hang on to the stuff you've got and fly it until it's worn out/wrapped around a reef (or rock or back axle or truck)/so fill of holes you could drain pasta in it? And why for both answers? 17. BigE - cheers for the spreadsheet. Now for some shopping for bits! The frequency you're sending this sheet out there'll be NPWs everywhere in a few months.
  18. Having had a lo at the born kite site the NASA Star looks like it's a 3 line kite with a single 'brake' like driving the depower nose collapse. Not sure you'd be able to rig it to fly on handles, but am open to correction, and possibly temptation! Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  19. BigE - I'd really appreciate a set of NPW21 plans for a 5m as well if you wouldn't mind. I've finally unearthed the sewing machine! Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Try something like delrin for the body. It's an engineering plastic that will hold a thread. Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Ah pig. Got father-in-law's 70th gathering on Sunday - I'll probably pass H-A-A-K going northbound as he comes South. No way I can out of it either: just checked with control and I'm grounded.... Maybe next time.
  22. My cousin has a board repair business specialising in windsurfers and foam core kite boards. He's been running for a while locally within a group of windsurfers and retail customers but is now opening up to the general public. Have a look at his website here: http://www.robowindsurf.co.uk/index.html He's based near Pontefract in West Yorkshire and offers collection & delivery for local customers. All the work is guaranteed and should be good - he's a bit of a perfectionist by nature!
  23. Short on lines as I haven't got anything in stock - will buy from scratch. Short on confidence in some respects. Have built a Rev 4 line copy which worked really well and I'm really chuffed with, but it's the sheer volume of fabric in a 5.3m that keeps putting me off at the minute. Other shorts I need to work on: short on cash having just moved house, short of a sewing machine as it's currently somewhere in the house move detritus and short on time as Wifey has super glued a paint brush to my right hand and a screw driver to my left! And hell yeah, I'm up for the NPW fly in: lets give the LEI boys something to think about!
