When E sent the spreadsheet over he mentioned sewing 12.5mm wide nylon webbing into the fold of the seams, basically where you're putting the leach line. The idea then is that rather than having to hit a line with the needle you've got a decent sized web to hit.
Once the sewing's done, to bridle up you use a very fine tip soldering iron to go through the fabric and middle of the web to the back of the land then come back through just the fabric, just to the side of the web. Then tie the bridle loop through the two holes.
The web he's found is rated at something like 220kg, so is pretty well rated relative to the load it's taking and the bridles going onto it.
Sounds straight forward, but my time line will be rip stop controlled: if I find the web before the rip stop turn up, OK, otherwise I'll probably be impatient as usual and leach line it!
