  1. The reason for the sale was that he stopped landboarding, and judging by the board it hasn't been ridden much :-) I have never done any of that :-( Depending on the price I might just save the money and use the Trampa, it does fell very similar... //M Neither - it's a channel truck board :-) The weekend does not look good for landboarding, but ok for surfing at least :-) The wheelbase of the trampa is 93 cm, the kitedeck is roughly the same size. I'm mostly into jumping, but I like the occasional speed run whenever the conditionsconditions are for it. I still need to push my pb higher than 62,3 km/h :-D //M
  2. My Trampa bottoms out on a hard hit, the kitedeck bottoms out when I set off hard and subsequently when I land :-/ I have no experience with carbon so I would need a guide for a five year old to get a decent result I'm afraid... //M
  3. So the board is finally completed with my gear from my original Trampa board (superstar hubs and alpha primo light tyres). It's not as light as I've hoped, but I still managed to shred off 1 kg. In total it's 6,5 kg :-) Now the jury is still out in regards to the board, right now I think it's too easy to bottom out. If that's the case I might try to add (what Trampa calls) a "flex bridge" from some leftover from when I cut down the Trampa. If that doesn't work the Trampa deck will have to be cut to fit the revos. I've only tried riding in down a very gentle slope for a good 50 meters, but I think I'm going to like the revos very much :-D Now I can only wait for some nice westerly winds to give it a spin, fingers crossed that will happen soon :-) //M
  4. You really make it look easy :-) Nice selection of boards as well :-D //M
  5. I hear what you're saying on titanium bolts, but in reality it will at an absolute maximum be 100g to shave off (judging by the figures in this article: http://weightweenies.starbike.com/articles.php?ID=16) :-) //M
  6. Yea - i think we talked about you need to find your way to Rømø, Denmark some day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO_IfqmCjEg) :-) I can't wait to try it out either, sadly I need westerly wind for my home spot to Work, add in that lights out at 5.15 PM currently in Denmark (Approaching winter damn fast) it can be tricky to get out once it actually is west. But I have a slim hope to leave early at work monday and get a short session in :-D //M
  7. According to the seller the board is made for a 12 stone rider (76 kg) and that might bottom out with me on it (even if it's just 5 kg more I weigh). But I'm going to have to give it a spin first to see how it feels :-) According to my calculations it should weigh roughly 6,2 kg in total - that's close to 1,5 kg lighter than my current Trampa titanium setup :-) Funny thing was it was right there for me to find once I got one kitecrowd.co.uk :-) I'm super stoked to have it on my hands, now I just need to put it together - and wait for some wind :-D //M
  8. So the kitedeck with the trucks come in at 3,6 kg. My superstar hubs with alpha primo light tyres are just shy of 500 gram each complete. Add in the bindings (btw according to the Trampa site the weight difference between velcro and ratchet is not much) that's another 5-600 grams. Should end up at roughly 6,2 kg - that's not too bad I think. I know skate trucks are the way to go if you're going for a light setup, but they are just too unstable for my liking :-) //M
  9. Thanks :-) Yea I just figured out they might actually be just as heavy as my channel trucks - though the board feels a lot lighter than the Trampa... My current channel trucks are 850g a piece. The Revo's are set to be 975g a piece, but that's for the standard non-titanium ones. However my Trampa comes in at nearly 3 kg - I guess the kitedeck is lighter. On the old NXS site they state a complete board with titanium revo's are just shy of 5 kgs I'll try and weight the kitedeck with the revo's attached and compare it to the naked trampa to figure out the difference :-) //M
  10. Thanks - it feels nice to do. But my board quite heavy to invert (7,5 kg). I hope to shred off around 2 kg's on my new revo board (Trucks weight reduction and board combined)- that makes a huge difference :-D //M
  11. No dunes anywhere near my usual spots, but I guess dunes would be a lot of fun, but I must admit, I'm more into (hooked-in) freestyle-ish jumps :-) I'll pitch in with a few pictures as well. Used my Woo to measure height a few times, the heighest I've measure on landboard was 7 meters during an invert. I certainly don't want any lines to break at that height :-O //M
  12. Please let me know if you're ccoming near Denmark in the future, I would love to demo it :-) //M
  13. Well in my book that apples and oranges, but if that works for you great :-D That's still quite a lot of weight adding just by the wheels, but then again if you use them it's not likely to be freestyle oriented anyway :-) //M
  14. Ouch that's a lot when getting airborne - good job! I thought my channel truck Trampa was heavy inverting weighting "only 7,5 kg" :-D //M
  15. Very interesting! Looks like you have used the same approach as seen on paragliders (Saw a pic somewhere on this forum) where you use just a few closed cells as struts and then the rest of the kite is single skin? Would love to try it out for some landboarding/surfing/snowkiting at some point :-) //M
  16. I followed the advise on stalking kitecrowd for some revo's - and look what I just picked up from GLS: Cost me what translates roughly to 205 AUD shipped to Denmark. It's an old kitedeck NXS with NXS titanium axel Revo's - not sure if the boards fit me, but I'll give it a shot before cutting my Trampa to fit the Revo's :-) I had to sneak out from work to pick it up, so I've only had a really quick look at it, but from what I've seen it's in excellent conditions given it's age :-) //M
  17. Not the best "taking phote" weather, but the jumps themselves look good :-) How much does your board weight complete with those grannies? //M
  18. I'm not - I just realised he's just trolling, and I don't feed trolls :-) Never the less I have decided to write in my native language whenever I communicate with Joel from now on, then he can nitpick all he want on Google translate... //M
  19. OK you are clearly more clueless than I initially thought... You may not realize it, but I actually have experience (quite a lot since I'm an avid runner and have been it for some years now) with that brands I'm listing it's not just something I've googled... There's no way Garmin, Polar, Suuntu and the likes will stop making gps watches and fitness trackers just because there's now an Apple watch... And what on earth makes you think that the current Apple watch isn't obsolete in 5 yearstime? I will not be less obsolete than any of the others... Nitpicking my autocorrect fails made at 1 pm Saturday night goes to show that you're just trying to act smart rather than presenting firm arguments. If that's how you operate then I guess I'll spend my time elsewhere in places where people actually are capable of having setting aside their personal love for product xyz... //M

    HQ Kite

Yeah I didn't have any issues with my matrixx'es the whole year I used them, unless I made pilot errors that ended up in booties or line cludder :-/ //M
  21. Sorry but I have to call bullshit on this, there's far better "fitness" tracker that does the same thing as the apple watch for far less. The apple watch is - not unlike the iPhone - overpriced due to the fact that it's apple, and mind you not due to the fact that's it's in an extraordinarily quality in the first place... Just to name a few have a look at the Polar M800 or the Suuntu Ambit, or even the Garmin Fenix 33. They all have far more experience in fitness/sports tracking :-) And if you're really after the smart watch features there's no sense in not bringing Pebble to the table. Far superior battery life and huge adoption since their first device and it cost you a fraction of the price of an apple watch... //M
  22. Uhm at 30 years old and living in Denmark I prolly have like 40 years to go before retirement - I think I'll see what's the mind and body are up to in 30-ish years (Scary to think it's my entire lifetime up till this point) :-) //M
  23. This is a more general advice; remember it took you a great deal of time to learn to think all the stuff you know is natural to you and learn the muscle memory :-) I have more than once found myself telling friends it's just do x/y/z and boom you're off. And usually they don't know half of what I'm talking about and don't understand the other half :-) //M
  24. I'm not really all that experienced in snowkiting, but the few times I've done it I have just used my waist harness used for surfing and landboarding. Like ‌@ssayre I don't like the seat harness when standing up, it feels too restrictive in terms of turning the upper body :-) If I was to to get a harness specifically for snowkiting I think I would try out one of those waist harnesses that has straps around the legs like a seat harness - they shouldn't be as restrictive but still prevent the harness to dig into your ribs :-) //M
  25. That's just completely mental! :-o //M
