There are two types of sewage system, combined or separate. Separate systems have foul and surface water in different lines. This is good, sewage pipes will usually always cope in any weather but its expensive (twice the pipes). Combined systems have surface water and foul going into the same line. This is cheap and kinda good, wet weather flushes it all through but in certain storm conditions, the pipe diameter cannot cope with the volume of water. In order to prevent the sewage from surcharging (backing up the line) and through manholes, or worse flooding peoples properties (imagine that) there are interceptors called cso's (combined sewage overflows) at certain points . In times of heavey flow, when the volume in the pipe reaches a certain level the flow will begin to weir off over a wall in the chamber down into another pipe which sends it straight to a watercourse. Water companies are regulated on a number of things this being one of them and are working to reduce the number of uids (unsatisfactory intermittent discharges). Instead of letting it go to river or sea we can build detention tanks that still weir off storm flow but divert it to a tank instead of the sea. Once the storm subsides and the system is relieved then the shit water can be pumped back into the system to continue its journey to the treatment works without killing fish and giving people the squits.

My old synergy 15 would handle 30mph just. After that id put the imp up for a laugh but it's no good really. Need a small depower bargain to jump on. As an aside I did ride a 7m waroo on the water in 40mph+ gusting towards 50 and it handled really well riding the gusts through the bar with ease.

Bump for Syn Mystic Harness £50

I have the above for sale, complete with bag. It's had use so the zip on the bag is not as it once was but when you open it you will find a crispy, lovely, in great condition kite with no rips, holes or repairs. The bar and lines are also in.great nick however the donkey Dick needs replacing which is a cheap easy fix. Now I'm looking for £250 for this kite and let me say, it's a float machine, I've had loads of kites, big mantas to big leis and this pips them all for hangtime. I'm selling due to not getting out as we have a young son who takes up all my time! If you want I can throw in a mystic warrior harness which is either med or large, I'm a 34" waist and it's perfect for 50 quid. So that would be 300 all in. Bargain! Just watched a programme on BBC three called Olympic dreams which featured, amongst other material, the downfall of windsurfing in favour of kitesurfing. Some of the reasons banded about were: Able to put on the race in less wind. More wind range Able to set the course closer to the shore for better spectator experience. It also showed some pissed off windsurfers. The presenter of the show was like "well the only way to see what its all about is to give it a go." *facepalm * it showed him getting up and away which he said took two days, fair play though he was cruising along nicely. Thats it then, youre real estate out there just got a bit smaller. Just wait till after 2016! :shock:
