  1. forget the 2 m foil...give him a single line Pentacow! (Jas has them!!) Steve
  2. I'm upset all ready.. JD, give him the board to use! cheers steve
  3. Hi Rob, Nice black FL..just like on Lam's video! I've had only three x x1 hour sessions with the kite now, however I have clicked very quickly with the kite...it suits my flying style very well. Tricks such as JL's, cascades, multi lazies, comete's, Taz machines, half axels, wap do wap's are all very easy and reliable. (Very nice fractured axel launches too!!!) Having a few difficulties with the crazy copter getting the kite to rotate all around...but that's a difficulty I have with this trick on all SUL's....I haven't found any ideosyncrosies I don't like. It certainly likes to stay on it's back, however not at the expense of overall neutrality IMHO. I just use it as an opportunity to do muli, multi lazies (2 or 3 times around!). I normally get out of the turtle via a half lazy ala JL style.... Still need more time, but overall I am very happy. Very very different to the SD's...the only similarity I have found is that they look similar...still I like my SD's too.... cheers steve
  4. Hi cag, Glad to hear you are enjoying your E3. I have had two Zephyrs over the years..both times I sold them as I was not particularly happy with them. They are a nice quality kite, however their bottom end wind range is not particularly good, they are certainly not a SUL and barely an UL IMHO. I also found that they were not particularly "neutral" for tricking and had a few idiosyncrosies that I didn't particularly care for. I replaced my Zephyr with a Silver Fox UL - IMHO a far better trick kite (with flight characteristics closer to the Nirvana). The SF UL is not a SUL, but it is an UL and has a better lower wind performance than the Zephyr (regardless of what Prism claim). Also has good ongoing support from the manufacturer. The quality of the SF range is not probably as good as the Zephyr, but I reckon that they are a far far better trick kite than the Zephyr at a better price. Just MHO.....Jason at Briskites has the SF's......also worth considering is the SOUL - not sure if that comes in an UL version. Cheers steve
  5. cool buggy! Comfortable looking seat - armchair! Makes my PL MKI look a little...."basic"...... cheers steve
  6. that picture of Dave peeing in the dam just shows me what I missed by not going on that trip... cheers steve
  7. Hi Ant, yep got the beginning of the big sea breeze - needless to say after the first run at high speed the Crossfire got packed away!! Got some good runs in with your old Rage 2.5 though!! Man that kite performs well! cheers steve
  8. is that a local creature like the big foot????
  9. ok, here is mine...59.4 kmh Kite - Crossfire 2 - 6.3 m Buggy - PL MKI (JD's old one) Wind - 15 knots
  10. Hi Dave, 6min from my house to Kingston Beach (that's where I have been flying dawn and dusk everyday these holidays) - good winds too and plenty of space. thanks for the filming offer - I might tale you up on that, I want to get some filming done ready for the next Virtual Freestyle. cheers steve
  11. Well, I have had little buggying the last week with household and fatherly duties taking over... So today I got out my PL MK I and my Crossfire 6.3 and set out for a trundle at my local College oval - I was only in the buggy for 30 min all up.... I was trundling along happily at the 20 kmh speed when the sea breeze hit big time! Luckily I was at the far end of the sports oval so had the entire width to see how fast this baby would go....couldn't quite get the 60 kmh! Truth be told I was quickly running out of room and had to think quickly what I would do - attempt a turn in 15 knt winds with a 6.3m Crossfire running at over 55 kmh....or get to the end and let the killers do their work.... I piked out....got to the end and let go and slid to a stop....the killers worked beautifully - I slid to a stop and admired my top speed....previous PB was 42.3 kmh - so this is a BIG improvement. The PL MKI actually handled it well know I have the length adjustment shortened so I have more pressure on the legs... Trouble is...no witenesses!! they are all up the coast on a big buggy run...oh well.. cheers steve
  12. yep - actually white with an "ice blue" wave... Will have to get some video of this one ...when I stop buggying in these fantastic sea breazes! cheers steve
  13. I've found that Labradors make quite a large "bump" when rolling under a PLMk I at 40 kph....the owners make louder shrieking noises though... (All ok, no one hurt). cheers steve
  14. Dear all, Thought you might enjoy these pictures of my custom Fearless SUL (Super UltraLight) at dawn on Christmas Day at the beach near my home. This kite was made by Lam Hoac of Sky Sport Design in Canada (the same guy that made my Sea Devils). Superb tricking in 0 - 5 mph wind range. cheers steve
  15. Rocketfish, I am interested in the Rage. Do you have any pictures and can you give a brief history ? cheers steve
  16. I like the "same as road rules" approach...stick to the left. Easy to remember for non-sailors as well. cheers steve
  17. beautiful design...............it is tempting......(a "Temptation" you might say :-).......... do you take children as trade in's Kevin? :-) cheers steve
  18. yes. It's a kite I usually always have with me at my local beach. It likes smooth winds (ala sea breeze) and it rewards precise gentle accurate inputs (with plenty of slack to give the roll bars some space). I love the colour panel on mine (which is identical to the one that Kevin flys in his promotional video) - although mine doesn't seem to fly as well as Kevin's... Beautifully made with plenty of ongoing support (and encouragement!) from Kevin. kevin also has an UL model which I would like to try one day.......... Good luck with it...enjoy. cheers steve
  19. very very cool!!!! Great kite also. Ok, competition is out - you show me yours, and I'll show you mine...... ....MY custom Temptation from Kevin cheers steve

  24. Ok, Now I have reduced my kite collection somewhat, I don't require three bags. So I have decided to sell my Silver Prism Speedbag. It's in very good condition - $90 delivered. I'll post a picture of the actual bag for sale in the next day or so. cheers steve
