  1. Hi all, Having not flown for a few years and soon moving to London where I expect to rent a room the size of a shoebox (hence no room for storing big things!) I've decided to sell my remaining kite gear. It's all fairly old, and the market seems to have slowed down so I have no idea how much to ask for. I realise this is probably frustrating if you're interested so I've put an estimate price next to each - if you think they're ridiculous then I'm open to offers. Ozone Instinct Edge 13m RTF Think it's an 07 - it's had 2 professional repairs, 1 to the LE and 1 to a panel, and a couple of scuffs which have had kite repair stickers put over. Still flies perfectly well and is a great kite for boosty airs. Bar is in good nick, think the lines have a couple of knots so might be worth replacing them. Considering it's age/condition but also the good bar, I'm asking £150 + delivery MBS Core 8 Used to really enjoy riding this and so did others who tried it. Owned from new and always taken care of. Some of the decals are starting to peel. The trucks are completely knackered so I won't include those, but it has hardly used tires, Twister hubs and bindings still on. Won't ask much as you'll have to buy trucks - lets say £35 + postage? Will post some pics up soon, let me know if you have any questions! Simon
  2. Great, cheers for that. Had found their website but like you say the forum is inactive, got them on fb now tho... Thanks again
  3. Hey guys I'm moving to Belfast for a year next month and wondered if there was any group around the area? I've googled and had a look on Facebook but the only groups I can find are either water based or have inactive websites Ill be based near the city centre so hopefully public transport will enable me to travel if there are any local spots around the area? Cheers
  4. Hi guys. I'm at uni of liverpool and was thinking of getting back in to kiting come the next academic year (september). Seems like liverpool sucks for kiting from my previous threads searching for people and there's no kiting club at the uni, so have worked out i can get to ainsdale on the train in just over an hour. Was just looking for advice on obtaining permits? I'm an experienced kiter and have helmet/safety on my kite which I use and will have insurance. Do the permits cost at all? Sorry if any of this has been covered before but it is a 25 page thread so forgive me for not going through it all haha.

  6. Thanks guys and need the new truck really. a large part of the metal seems to have sheared off and it's missing a part, wobbling everywhere. Plus tbh I didn't maintain them properly so they're pretty knackered in general. Lent it to a friend since summer who didn't wash it so the wheel nut is now rusted on completely, think I'm gonna have to cut it off to get the wheel off (yes tried WD40 haha).
  7. Cool cheers for that. Also is the ATS the same as the one I'll have on the moment? As in, if I only bought one and had an old and a new one - would it work? So out of the kiting loop at the moment that for all I know it could be the exact same truck haha
  8. Hi guys, Want to get back in to the kiting game but need to replace my trucks pretty badly and need some advice. Riding an MBS Core 8 (pretty old now I know) and need some trucks to replace the old, standard skate ones that have been on there since I bought it around 4/5 years ago! Think I'll replace them with the standard 'MBS all terrain' skate trucks (see pic) - mainly due to the cheap price - and just wanted to check that these were (a) decent and (b) would fit on my core 8 with the standard holes? Cheers in advance!
  9. Ainsdale = just over an hour on the train, so will probs do that every now and again but looking for a more regular flying spot too. Looking around googlemaps there are a few big fields nearby where I'm staying which could be alright, was mainly wondering if there was any group/individual who flew actually in Liverpool somewhere. Cheers!
  10. Hi guys, posted this in the Landboard section but thought I'd try here too. I'm at the Carnatic accommodation site (Mossley Hill/Aigburth) until summer then around Smithdown/Wavertree area next academic year and am desperate for a decent flying spot nearby if anyone knows of one? Also, if not, is there a club or anything around Liverpool or even the Wirral with decent landboarding? I'm a two minute walk from a station then that seems to go to most places so can travel pretty easily if there is. Cheers in advance!
  11. Hi guys, been a while since I've posted here. Currently at Liverpool Uni, looking for somewhere to kite (pref around Mossley Hill area). Next academic year will be living around Wavertree (So will kite at the Wavertree park - seems big and quiet enough), but would fancy some kiting action before then if anyone knows of anywhere? Or is there a big place everyone around here meets? Simon

  17. Wouldn't worry too much atm pal, could be anything after 3 days. Might have just been busy/forgotten, these things happen. If he's got that many posts/feedback chances it's nothing serious. If you've got his number, try ringing him from a number other than your own and see if he picks up?
