  1. Now Sold - bord still available though!
  2. Late evening bump!
  3. I've now been informed that it is in fact a (now rather rare) Flexifoil Mk 1 buggy and is perfectly well suited to freestyle buggying!
  4. I am reluctantly admitting that I do not have time to indulge in my kites any longer so some of my gear is going up for sale. My buggy is listed here on ebay, £135 ono: eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace It's an old Peter Lynn (I've been told) - very solid and runs smooth enough, good intro to buggies. Open to reasonable offers from Kite Crowd members.
  5. 8-10mph with gusts to 20ish? according to metoffice - I'll be along tomorrow then to try out the 14m I picked up last week. All tips/advice/help/laughing gratefully received!!!!
  6. Yes, kite season ends at the end of March. Had a holiday booked last year for last week in March but then it got moved to the first week of April due to the park opening later - guess what, no land kiting (well, static only) - so car full of board, buggy, kites and no chuffing use! So I went and handbraked my car round the beach to make up for it......!?!
  7. Wow, I'm coming over tomorrow to pick up a kite - I get the impression the 14m may not be geeting an outing...! better pack the smaller ones aswell then!
  8. 14m Vegas sold = Yep, the other half was dead impressed when I told her......!?! See you tomorrow.
  9. PM sent
  10. I've done the same and just jumped from a 3m Beamer and 5m Ace to an 18m Guerilla! Regrets? - Nope not one. Had it out for the first time last week and got a bit of help setting up and launching for the first time, after that I found self relaunching not too much of a problem. It was a very low wind day which was great to start on but sometimes a struggle to keep it in the air. I'm impressed with with ARC's so far and think it will definitely bring on my boarding - good luck to ya fella, don't think you'll regret it.
  11. I had my G18 out yesterday, my first time with an ARC and depower and was definitely not enough wind. I had the same thing, pulling bar in would stall the kite and begin to fall, however when we did have a little pick up, pulling the bar in definitely increased the power. I'd suggest trying again when you have some better winds, as stated above about 12mph would be about right - I can't wait..!
  12. Thanks all for the warm welcome yesterday and the help in getting set up and flying. It was a great introduction to depower and ARC's, shame about the wind (or lack of...) Great site, I'll be back soon!
  13. Can I jump on the depower bandwaggon too! I'm moving to the ARC side. Bought myself an 18m Guerilla, just need to get the last few bits hopefully by the weekend (depower strap, safety leash) then gagging for a go on it. I might be up for EKS on Sunday, any volunteers to walk me through a set up? (and make sure I don't kill myself in the process!)
