  1. Interested in the Bullet, but 150 is a little steep, are you firm on that price? Do you have some pics...
  2. Dude! I think you should give me your kites because i am Ginger and slightly Retarded. Plus, if you don't, ill tell your wife what you do to me when she is not looking!
  3. Evening mate!! Just got the kite today and its sweeeeet V crispy and looking brand new! We got it out the bag, but its been very wet here today and F All wind, will report back when the wind picks up --if i survive Cheers Martin Good luck with shifting the others.

  5. Dude i want your board, but i am still paying for your wife
  6. How cold is really up to you and your physique. Although 6 foot 4, i am a skinny runt. I swam across the forth late last year, as a result i know that i have a maximum of 35-40 minutes in water of 12 Degrees without any wet/dry suit. As long as you are moving about, you don’t feel the cold. The danger is that though, i did not feel cold whilst i was swimming, as soon as i came out the water i realised how cold i was. All i can say, is take your time and try to build up time spent in the water by 10mins at a time. I don’t know how much wet suites take the edge off the cold. But best to be safe than sorry in cold water. Here is a couple of pictures. The more weight you have, the warmer you’ll be! http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g97/big_ginge21/?action=view&current=Martin-Sunday.jpg http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g97/big_ginge21/?action=view&current=dsc02921Medium.jpg Cheers M

  10. Evening! Sorry - hope this does not count as Hijacking a thread :o I am looking to have a bash at snow kiting in the hills this year. Ive got a blade 4.9 mk3. Will that be ok with an old snow board? Sorry again Cheers Martin

  12. conor - You have PM

  14. I was thinking about that last night. I reckon it would probably be possible to have a play up there, if i can get a hold of a snow board ill let you know this winter
  15. Afternoon all I was just hoping to see the general consensus for kite flying on the top of hills? I live in-land and the other day there was no wind at all, so i walked up the hills to get to some wind. It was the nicest wind ive ever had inland and although the terrain was a little rough and not really a huge amount of room for mistakes, i was just wondering what other's thought of this? Obviously not in gusty or big winds, but on those lightish wind days... Cheers Martin
  16. I like the idea of having a dedicated section of the forum on man lifting. It does sound amazing if done safely with the right kit and with people who know the in's and outs of it. I dont think its fair to say outright that no one should even acomodate the idea, as has been stated these people seem to be refering to foils and not the right gear. I do understand the whole argument of being worried about loosing flying sites, however i dont think we should be put in a poisition where we are worried to try new things because Big Bro might be upset. I do realise that this is ultimitaly a huge political issue, so i am not even going to try and discuss it! I would like to see more of manlifting. I am interested in it and think it would be an amazing buzz, however i am not going to go out and try it because i dont have the right kit and, more importantly, i dont have a clue Thanks to Blazing... for educating us
  17. lol, no expert here, but no chance! I took a 3.5 bullet out in 50odd mph winds, i launched the kite once and landed 300 meters down feild, there is no chance you would stay grounded with a 4.9!
  18. My biggest air ever was on a 4meter Blade. No idea how fast the wind was blowing, but the boy's kite that it was would not fly it! infact he would not even have a bash on my 3.5 bullet But as suggested, the 4.9 is a nice jumping kite. Thats what i have now, however have never realy had the nice clean wind for good 'safe' jumps. Would recomend the 4.9, but be caw canny with it, they do bite, but if treated with respect will be really good fun! Cheers Martin
  19. LOL, Well i might have a bash with the duck tape, but i think it is only fair that if i bare the pain of that then you all have to suffer pics of my bum fluff on the Tape!
  20. Haha Nice to see this is a common problem to all! Thanks for the PM Morgan, Reply sent Some good ideas there, saves me from the Hair stripping pain of the Duck tape idea Ring of Fire is bad enough, think ill give the Split ring a miss
  21. Well my recent experiences have definitely contributed to the following question! Static flying is all good, but just learning to board! My questions is, Is there any protective gear for the read end? It was going all good until i fell on my arse, could only have been going about ten MPH or so but only one buttock hit the ground and i have to say i did feel as though i had been ripped in half!!! I was thinking of just a bit of good old duck tape, Keep em together Just curious if anyone else has had to deal with such problems Cheers P.S. I do expect a good slaggin for this thread!
  22. LMAO!!! Sounds Class, would love to have seen it! Never know, in the near future you may pop up on youve been framed
  23. Evening all Nice to see am not the only one in for the whit knuckle ride! I was not doing any figure of eights tho, the Scud was from a straight launch to Zenith point in the middle of the window! Too windy to dare doing any figure of eights! Cant beat that for acceleration
  24. Afternoon all Birthday treat for me today, a break from study and a bash on my kite! Don’t have a wind meter thing, but usually go by feel, however after today i was curious as to roughly how windy it was! I weigh about 13 stone and was flying a 3.5 Bullet, Measured scud marks of 40 Meters! slightly wet grass, mind you but i was holding on for dear life and it was possibly the fastest i have ever travelled across land! Any suggestions on wind speed and has anyone else had the joys of scudding for such distances? P.S. My kite is only on 25M lines so i have no idea how i managed to travel that far in one scud! Oh aye and i was fully kitted out with Pads and Lid!
  25. I usually fly just off the A702, near the Pentlands. Its just outside Edinburgh. Can get a nice clean wind if am lucky! Thats my car all back up and running, so mobile again! Whooo! lol Ill give you a shout next time am heading out mate!
