Back to Work

After 3 weeks of home detention due to not being able to drive, I have been given the all clear to go back to work. Added Bonus I have been given the OK to be able to lift 3kg in each hand now provided it's not above the shoulder.  Time to start doing wall push ups and start trying to build the muscles up again so I can go kiting in a couple of months time. Need to be able to pull the bar in with one hand on the Speed 3 12m when it's fully powered up. :D

I was wondering why Queensland premiums had dropped..... and only skyrocketed back up today :D

It's a strange feeling to be excited about going back to work. I'm hoping to be allowed back next week too.

That is progress, Goz. Well done.

My doc told me not to lift anything heavy for six weeks, so I have been sitting down to pee. Lol

I'm now driving and just have occasional twinges with the internal stitches, when I overdo it with little jobs around the house.

I hope to try a buggy fly in ten days, but not at 13th Beach. The drag back up to the car park afterwards is daunting.

Hey Goz, are there any future spinal risks for you with sports related stresses?

Unless I find a way to stick something in the hole they left open in my spine, should be all good. :D

I guess there is always a chance of damaging myself, but that comes with playing with big kites and speeding buggies. :crazypilot:

Should be safer than playing contact sports though.

I was just damn excited to get out of the house again Andy, was getting quite bored propping up the couch. You know you're bored when you CBF watching TV.

I swear if I saw one more infomercial for the Bambilow (the miracle bamboo pillow :wall2:) I wasn't going to be responsible for my actions. :russian_roulette:

It would be strange for me too, considering that I've been retired for seventeen months.

So, following the recommendation by Goz, I might be able to fill in my twilight years with Bambillow ads.

Actually, I am never bored. I have many interests and other hobbies to keep me happy.
