Many of the components of several brands of kites control bars can be purchased contact us with what you need, from which brand?? I think the pics are renderings using a photoshop type program, but they are also reasonably accurate according to a distributor I have spoken to. Cya and Goodwinds Steve Quote
JKS Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Very tidy looking bar ... The release looks like a jerk off style .... but what a super smooth finish !! And looking down through the eye of the bar in photo 2 I see 3 seperate compartments keepin lines seperated. I would assume this is to reduce tangles ..... but what if you spin the bar ..... hmmm ?? Anyone know/guess what the lump of metal above the trim straps is for ? Overall .,... a sweet looking setup Quote
Armin Harich Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Hi The rendered and not Photoshoped Pictures are not public previews, as they are not showing the final INFINITY BAR. The Quickrelease will be different. At our Newsletter you see the final Quickrelease: http://www.flysurfer.com/Newsletter/show/?file=archive&nid=577&frame=1'>http://www.flysurfer.com/Newsletter/show/?file=archive&nid=577&frame=1 There you see also that we have a Special V-Shaped Eyelet with a moving separator that split both Depowerlines to allow to untwist all lines by pushing down the bar. If you have more questions, I will answer them here for you. Bye, Armin BTW: To get registered to our newsletter, just click here: http://www.flysurfer.com/Newsletter/ Quote
.Joel Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Hi Armin, welcome to Extreme Kites. How do you reload the chicken loop once opened? Is it similar to the Iron Heart chicken loop from North? Will these bars be standard on other models such as the Pulse2 and SpeedII, or only on the Psycho4? Regards, .Joel Quote
Armin Harich Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Hi Joel I have to thank you about being interested into our Products. Like written in the newsletter, we use the well tested quick release from www.hiss-tec.com. The pin is way shorter than the north one and the release hull covers the hand on top to avoid the pin to hit you hand. We will not change the serial production of the existing models. But we offer upgrade possibilities for our customers the next weeks. Details will follow in our newsletter, and at http://www.FLYSURFER.de Bye, Armin Quote

Davidov Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Guys, I have tested the ps4 yesterday with the new bar. The bar is realy good. Everything works fine. The Cl is very good to use. Also I u have to spin the bar after a kiteloop or 360. Then u spin the bar. Pull it down to the CL and the lines are untangled. Nice work from Fs Quote
Jason Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 I wonder why Flysurfer decided to buy thier bar from Core kites instead of designing thier own? Quote
Steve Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 They bought the design from the same company that designed the Core bar, I'm sure I read about it on here somewhere?? Its a German company, that specialises in design, and in particular in kite products, from memory, but I think it was a separate company to Core or FS Cya and Goodwinds Steve Quote
Armin Harich Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Hi The Infinity bar is our completely own Design, except the Chickenloop. We have also build a own Chickenloop Design. Rendered Pictures was show here. It is a innovative concept it need more testing time, to be 100% sure it will fit out high safety wishes. So we decide to go instead for the best QR we can find on the market and combine it with out bar system we developed instead of maybe get a problem with a not 100% tested system. Bye, Armin Quote
Jason Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Hi The Infinity bar is our completely own Design, ?????? http://www.core-kites.com/images/stories/esp_product_shots/12_ejectorsystem.jpg Quote
.Joel Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Hey Jas... The Infinity bar is our completely own Design, except the Chickenloop. Regards, .Joel Quote
Steve Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Ahhh thats what it was, the C-Loop was designed by that german company that designed the Core bar. Thanks Armin/Joel. Cya and Goodwinds Steve Quote
Armin Harich Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Hi Jason The Core Bar has 3 holes for example out of plastic wich is screwed. Our Infinity Bar das one big V-Shaped eyelet with a moving part called separator. It is metal and not screwed. The advantage ist that you can steer hard and can still depower frictionless. The Winders are also different construction. Our Bar can be modified in 3 steps up to 10cm width. Bye, Armin Quote
Luke Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Armin, The Infinity bar is being shipped with the Psycho 4 as we know. Will all new Flysurfer kites be shipped from now on with the new Infinity bar & chickenloop, eg the Speed II? Luke Quote
Armin Harich Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Hi Luke. We don´t change the the setup of other models. The Infinity Bar is more expensive than the full depower bar we have at the other models. We don´t want to increase the prices. But we sell the Infinity bar soon separatly and do offers to upgrade. So it is possible to add the Infinity Bar to all Kites in the future. Bye, Armin Quote
JKS Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Very tidy looking bar ... Anyone know/guess what the lump of metal above the trim straps is for ? Iza still wondering Happy Days Quote
schmik Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Bloody good move to 'source' the chicken loop from else where. FS are not a HUGE company and i'm sure they can make a nice CL but i'd rather they spend more time/effort on the kites. This also has the side benefit of the industry thinking about a 'standard' CL. The more people that use the same loop the closer we are to a 'defacto' standard. We don't need a official 'standard' release but the more kites out the with the same CL the better. The average rider can then fly any kite and be accustomed to the release system. mike Quote
Armin Harich Posted July 21, 2008 Report Posted July 21, 2008 Hi Here is a close up pic from this guidance block: Source: www.foillia.it If allows to use a 5th line with out a heavy stopper that tangle with the other lines.
