Hello all, I live in London but spend every other weekend with my son in Earls Barton, so was looking somewhere for us to go buggying. Where is this upton, is that near Peterborough? What kind of site, and is it worth the drive out there? Is the Sixfields site not going any more?

I tried to find it a couple of times without any joy.

Looking to get out on Saturday if anyone is planning on going

Tony

There has to be somewhere better to kite around northamptonsh**e :D Im going to check if the field in sherington is still avilable for flying. It would be good to do some land kiting from time to time instead of driving to hunstanton to find theres no wind... (last w'end) :(

Been a very very very long time. It's jumping jim, but I forgot my log in details. Haven't flown in such a long time, got the blade out in Newquay this summer but not touched it since then. What's happening with everything then? Wouldn't mind a fly again, is sixfields still a bust?

Hi J.J....how you doing? have not been up to 6fields for a while as its very quiet now, tend to go to Camber/Greatstone when i can also spend more time jet ski-ing,not so dependent on the weather, perhaps we should have a reunion bash up there, might even be able to get Jarv out of retirement .Dom

Yeah that'd be good. I'm great thanks, on a gap year at the moment and heading to portsmouth for uni next year so I might buy some kitesurfing kit before I head down there.

Hiya,

I just wanted say hello to all the Kiting Cobblers. Ive not been flying for long and just into the land boarding thing and i must say I love it and want to keep learning more. Ive been looking at all your treads and found it very interesting and upsetting to seeing sixfields go down the pan with red tape, it sounds like a great place and sounded like you all had great times there. Gutted i missed out on a really good site and gutted for you guys too.

I live in Corby myself and have been to the racecourse and found that a pretty good place to get going. Ive also been to Brancester too and had a great time flying there.

I am also in the Army and based in Oxfordshire so i get about abit lol.

Anyway, im hoping that I cant meet you guys soon maybe out and about.

Hi,

I've lived in Northampton for about a year and I haven't found anywhere to buggy locally. I've done some brief static flying with some small kites at Upton and I've always been received well by onlookers. I doubt, however, that my buggy would go down well.

Perhaps I'll see you around some time,

Rob

Hey all, just thinking about maybe going out for the first time this year with my small blade III. I've been on a break for a couple of years.

Where actually is this place at Upton \ Six Fields, could someone pin point it in google maps or something please?

Do you guys just kite recreationally or boarding/other? Would love to meet others into the sport to learn more.

we used to buggy and board all the time but i little boarding will be fine as long as theres no near misses,we just gotta keep a low profile, not get in peoples way and everything will be fine.

I myself have just got back into kiting and have a macBego 600,flexifoil skytiger 2.2 and my lad fly's a blaze 3 mtr, look forward to meeting up some time.

Where in Upton is this, say in relation to the Mighty Cobblers Stadium?!

There was a map posted earlier but I couldn't get the exact location from it.

Cheers!
