Hi Iain, sounds like you had a bit of a mare with those venoms mate, did you try the new board at all? I arrived late just after the storm, still some nasty looking clouds about! Not much going on at branny so went to old hunny. My luck changed as it picked up around 5pm for a mega powered session on the 9m. :)

Skidmarks, did you ditch your kite for about 20mins when the wind dropped out? Did well to re-launch that mate. Was my first session of the year too, i was struggling to keep upwind on my 12m when others were powered on 9's! grrrr

There has to be somewhere better to kite around northamptonsh**e Im going to check if the field in sherington is still avilable for flying. It would be good to do some land kiting from time to time instead of driving to hunstanton to find theres no wind... (last w'end)

I know but i've lucked out, shes cooking for her mum I Dont have gloves or hood. Looks like im underestimating how cold it'll be! might have to grab some from hunny watersports

We stayed @ soma bay last Feb. Could see safaga (the old port) from our hotel (intercontinental). Unfortunately the kite bay was a half mile upwind tack but once there it was amazing. Dont ride over protected reef it pi$$es people off oh & you need shades when kiting, i found out the hard way!
