Australian Kiteboarding Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Hey everyone, Am fairly new to landboarding (several months), and love it. It would be sweet to catch up with some locals to board with and to try and find some nice terrain. My ability is pretty basic, just riding around at moderate speeds, nice carves and ollies to switch and am just getting into jumping. I've been riding South Perth foreshore, Carine Open Space, Pinnaroo Car park, Hillarys Car park, and have been eyeing off the Whitfords boat ramp and car parking area. Drop me a reply, it'd be great to ride with someone else. I feel like a freak! Good winds, Darren Quote
squidrunmegzy28 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 darren, havent tried out any landboarding as yet, but it is something i am keen to look into...at the moment am getting the hang of my new toy, Frenzy 7.3... mainly static flying and a bit of bodysurfing... keen to catch up and see what anyone else is doing... regards, squidrun Quote
Australian Kiteboarding Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 Hey Squidrun, I'd love to catch up but am currently working 7 days a week and haven't been able to play for best part of three weeks. After Kitestock I hope to have more time and then we can catch up and go find some terrain to ride. I'll have some land boarding gear at Kitestock because I reckon Dongara has some sick spots to ride. See ya soon, Darren Quote

bob2 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Hi there all. I'm in Bunbury, a little south of you guys. If you ever head down south, it would be good to kite board with some one. At the moment it is just me here. I kite most day's (Lunch breaks) at the local cricket oval in town. It's pretty small but has clear westerly winds from the ocean. Very good in summer. Not so in winter. However, if you want to just cruise around, it works in all wind directions. There is also Hay park down here which is a regional sporting facility. This has some monster sized ovals. The only problem is the wind is not to clean due to all the surrounding trees. Bob Quote
windjana jones Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Hi folks Where to rent some landboarding gear in WA? After almost 3 month of abstinence (due to travels), I NEED to get back on the wheels for a ride!! Any hint appreciated! Cheers, windy Quote
bob2 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Hi Windy I don't think there are any places to hire land boards in WA. However, I'd love to be corrected. Bob Quote
Denver1229 Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 I have a buggy and landboard, 8m and now 6m Ozone Access XC kites. Darren has helped me out with a lot of things. I haven't used the landboard too much until I get more balance with the kite powered up so it is perhaps available if you want it. Quote

windjana jones Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 ... Just getting the hang of it all and have been out to Baseball Park on Nicholson Road, Canning Vale. It is a good wide open area. I haven't used the landboard too much until I get more balance with the kite powered up so it is perhaps available if you want it. Evan GDay Evan Thx indeed for your offer. Bugger, just passed in the area a week ago, havent visited te forum before I'm right down in Harvey today... anyway, I'm an addicted Ozone-rider (Manta I 10m & Frenzy FYX 13m), and the Acces is fun as well.
