  1. Hi ill get some pics up for ya yes the retainer in the middle is just to stop it shifting left or right as has already been said. . . but even thiough this is the case it will still have huge forces applied to it so if glued it would need to be quite strong
  2. First of al those truck design look awesome - nice work as for the price of the titanium . . . . the first set of titanium axles i got came from spike at Design Extreme when he was still manufacturing them and cost me 150 pounds i purchased a second set from a friend for one of my other decks for 50 pounds which was about the cost of the raw materials titanium is a very soft alloy ( the nylon in the revos does flat spot the axles a bit it over time ) it is very easy to machine the problem arises when you want to weld it this has to be done in a zero oxygen environment (argon i think from memory but not sure) one of my good friends was lucky enough to have some made (as a gift ) out of some really exotic titanium (as its an alloy there is many variations and prices) How they got around the welding was to machine a very shallow groove in the middle of the axle enabling them to use two stainless steel half rings and weld them to each other with the groove keeping it in place Titanium is actually slightly less strong than stainless steel so don't skimp on the axle thickness. . . i have a few different revo setups and three different styles of axle in stainless and Ti if anyone wants any pictures or dimensions i am happy to help
  3. Mate I've spent the last decade in europe with (arguably )some of the best and most innovative land based kiting talent and its the first time i've seen it - maximum respect for being so progressive I'd love to head down that way and catch up for a fly sometime if thats cool - i've been going slowly mad landboarding on my own since i returned - having to kitesurf just to get some kiting company
  4. loving the trick where you pivot the board round your right foot sweet skill---- keep upping the vids
  5. I will be in perth for most of december and will be based in padbury and maylands and would be cool to meet up for a fly with any landboarders who are about im keen to fly at any location as im always looking for new spots when i come home . . . . . . .also if anyone knows of any decent grass areas close to the beach id be forever in your debt
  6. Hi sorry to hijack your thread . . . Is this lake in safety bay hard enough to landboard on or is it more buggiers territory coz everytime i come home i'm looking for landboarding sites in perth and anywhere along the west coast with little to no luck :dntknw:
  7. thats just what im after i have sent him a pm cheers
  8. any wind direction is great for landboarding - I know that you can't do the long runs unless its directly onshore but im more freestyle orientated and any direction with a short run would help me practice - I've been flying in inland locatioins for years. The beaches are all to dry/soft for the mountain boards over here. I grew up here and know the coastline reasonably well but cant think of any hard packed sand locations - even rocky outcrops would do - a little bit inland is no probs either Seriously any location that anyone knows of with hard ground id love to hear about it - ill fly anywhere
  9. I know you have a couple of places posted on this website but does anyone out there know of any other landboarding locations in perth or up to 500km in any direction where i can fly ?
  10. You have to see him in person - I'd have to agree that he is the most promising landboarder in the world (from what i've seen ) he's only been on the sabre II for a short while - he normally fly's blades on handles and whenever he flys jaws drop !
