Spiritflier Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Probably going to BRS tomorrow - depends on the weather and the wind! If we're going, we'll probably get there around 11am. Hopefully see you there. Si
carl999 Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Well wed + thurs was ace, I am totally knacked now from two great days @ Prestatyn, one well powered up day followed by chilled cruising to Rhyl & back jumping the odd water channel , my arms are aching like a newbie but the pain is sweet. Have a good weekend / Ireland trip guys, see you the back end of next week. Carl.
nolan Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 7 of the Ainsdale crew are heading to BRS tomorrow. See ya there!
Maverick440 Posted February 10, 2006 Author Report Posted February 10, 2006 .. Looks like it going to be Sunday now for me at BRS ..
sonicseal Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Nolan - Cool. Please remind everyone not to set up over the roadways and wrap up unused kites etc. Got to keep it sweet there. I usually make base just on the elbow of the beach and hope to be there in my yellow berlingo about 10:30am. Be good to form a big group rather than spread out all over the place. Mav - Rain due Sunday. SEE YOU ON THE BEACH

animal_69 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 sounds like you all had a good weekend..regardless of casualties I was down in Cardiff...checked out the 'FrozenJam' Sat, was a bit naff dim wind, Sun turned out to be a good day tho, great beach too (Rest Bay, Porth Cawl). Only took the baby Bullet down (managed to hold onto it this time too..hahaha), had a good play tho, got my confidence back..lol..and saw loads of kites in the flesh, which was nice, better than looking at pictures..and the occasional bit of showing off. Good day in all.
animal_69 Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Spotted you in this months 'kiteworld' too Paul..bustin some moves.
sonicseal Posted February 14, 2006 Report Posted February 14, 2006 Nik - Tidy. Sounds like you managed to get some kiting action down there. Did you meet Dave from Celtic Kites? I got the sequence shots of that KiteWorld pic and it is definatly on the way up You seen the Motor Drive article in the same issue? There is some Northerly winds due early next weekend with no rain. Whoop whoop.

chalkline Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Were you the guy who was hobbling back up the beach with the 12m Phantom? Thought you were hobbling a bit. John that was me, i really got to work on my landings, or more protection. the swelling has started to go down now, and the bruise is fantastic, shame i don't have my camera with me to post pics, but whole foot ankle and toes bright purple and a bit yellow, at least it is a decent war wound, hopefully off crutches in the next day or so, not sure if i will be back in work next week or not, but couldn't tell them i did it kiting, gutted that the wind is blowing and i am still in wales though:mad:
sonicseal Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Think its early tides towards the weekend? 8, 9 or 10am? Lee - Purple and yellow? Sounds like the limited edition Venom colours Get well soon dude.
JohnDave Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 I didn't think you looked alright when you gave me the thumbs up. That's the problem with super hard beaches - super hard landings! Hope you're up and moving soon fella. John
