.TheBeest. Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Hi dudes Im new to these forms, and Id like to join a group to get to know people in my area, but all four groups are in the south.... Would it be possible to have a new group for the midlands, so everyone in my area can get together and organise stuff, and build our own little community of kiters from these thriving forums (I have come from KiteForum and its pretty quiet there ). p.s. Happy New Year Quote
flyer Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 We always welcome new people. The sutton park crew are friendly, and then there are the derby flyers as well. Quote

BassBlokeJim Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I'm just up the road in Penn - I've got a new kite coming next weekend (Beamer 3.6) and was planning a test flight on Windsor Ave Playing fields. Is there enough space at Himley or Baggeridge too? Surely there must be a few more bods from Wolverhampton... Quote
.TheBeest. Posted February 4, 2005 Author Report Posted February 4, 2005 Hey cool man, my mate has got that kite and its pretty sweet realy nice and manouverable. We are going out the the Brown Clee tomorow for mountainboarding and kiting (you cant beat a day off on a friday). As for Himley ad Baggeridge... theres not too much space, Baggeridge is closed in by trees and himley is covered in people, I fly at Trysull, big field, farmer doesnt mind and nice stable winds. PM me and ill send you some pics of the spot, and maybe we could hook up and have a few kites in the air Quote
BassBlokeJim Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Sounds good to me.... Trysull's just down the road. Let me just find out how to PM on this forum! I don't get a kite until Sunday 12th, and I've got to go to collect it from Manchester: my cousin's upgrading to a Blade Quote

BassBlokeJim Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Was anyone out this weekend? Didn't bother myself as it looked like there was no wind and I was a mite hungover... Stroll on some wind!!! (This weekend?) Quote
.TheBeest. Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 naa we didnt do last weekend, my ate works on sunday but we can both do satarday, we were at Trysull form 2 til 6 on Firday. Ill Pm you when we know whats going on on the weekend, can you do week days after 4?, as soon as we are out of college were out with the kites or on the mountain boards if the wind isnt there. We were on the boards today as the wind was crap, but hopefully we will be with the kites on tomorow. Quote
BassBlokeJim Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 weekdays is a bit of an arse for me - I work in brum until 4.30 usually (although sometimes in Tettenhall) so until the evenings are lighter it's usually a no-no. Still, PM if you're going out - if I can get back early I'll come down. Jim Quote
.TheBeest. Posted March 14, 2005 Author Report Posted March 14, 2005 On a good days kiting we will start up at 4 and go on til 6 or 7ish, on the weekend, if were having a day out then its nice abd early but if its a quick stroll down to trysull then we kick off around 2ish. We should be heading out on Thursday around 4, if you can make it that would be great, if not then we might be able to sort something out for the weekend. Quote
zebedee Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Any of you guys from the wolverhampton area going out this weekend (whats left of it) ? Live up in Dudley and looking for some places to go that are a bit closer than Sutton Quote
