B0bby Posted September 2, 2013 Report Posted September 2, 2013 (edited) Sometimes the home beach just delivers! What a perfect day! 9m was lit, water was great and the place was empty except for Adam, me and Ozzie. (When a guy can't depend on his leash Oz, what's the world coming too ) Left Adam out there, the dudes probably still enjoying it. Stoked for the week @Carl - Nice vid Carl, ending was very cool. My thoughts on the music for the next one: The Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner or Jupiter (the bringer of jolity) by Holst, part of the planet suite Just something upbeat with some tempo that we all can enjoy ...and don't worry about copyright, those two dudes won't mind a bit. Rob Davies Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Anyone down tomorrow morning , my lad fancies having a go after being inspired by Carl TB's video . I've explained it isn't as easy as Carl makes it look ! I haven't got a board for him to try but will try and get him used to flying fixed bridle foils first . Quote
keith.b Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 Hi Rob i might be there for an hour or so around 9-10 but wind doesnt look good. Quote
B0bby Posted September 7, 2013 Report Posted September 7, 2013 It's a biggish HT tomorrow people so it might get to the rail round about 1ish. If you're planning to be still there by then I'd park hard against the dunes just in case. Nobody wants jellyfish in the glove compartment. Quote

B0bby Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 It sure does. The suns just gone down over the beach so that gives us till 8 before we have to come in I've tried kite lights and flying in the dark, it was just full of faceplants, trips and lots of pain, if you slipped off the board it put on a dissapearing act and if you dropped the kite, which way was up? To be honest it was mad. A bit less mad with a full moon. Don't matter how much fun it is, 8 o'clock is the limit. Quote
B0bby Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Big kite neat September session with loads of sunshine, and a free airshow A big Ozone doing a hard turn is cool but a Lancaster pulling one, now thats majestic. From the sublime to the ridiculous........everyone got their paper bags ready? Quote

windchaser 73 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Anyone playing out today? Was thinking of heading down around 11/12ish Quote
shipscat Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 I've just been down to Ainsdale. There is a lot of trees, logs, timber, rocks and all sorts of other crap which has been washed up by the storm onto the beach. As the tide comes in, all that stuff could be lurking below the water just waiting to shred your kite. With a heavy heart I decided to give it a miss. The rangers were putting up beach closed signs as I left. Also, the 'bay watch tower' has been completely destroyed ! Quote
