was there today myself wind wasnt perfect for us land crabbies forecast westerlys ended up with sw and tide was in no beach

Top, top day :D

Thrills, spills and burnt to a crisp. Must slip that factor 30 inside the wettie next time.

9m winds all day long and that incoming tide was just perfecto.

Weird how on an ace day like today there's no landcrabs at all, just tons of us waterbabies. How times have changed :)

Best day this year, gets my 10/10 :D

hi all,

Landcrab ere, a couple of us did turn up once the nasty wet stuff went away. lol

BUT wow what a show the waterbabies put on today, sorry i dont know names for peeps yet. but big wow to some of the riders out there today. thanks to the guy's i spoke with who took the time too explain the finer points for me. i'm just waiting for a buggy injury to heal then i just have to hit the water. the stuff i saw today just re-affirmed it. but i did still have 30 mins on my MTB and had the best run i have ever had, jumps and control. must have been a magic breeze today. hope to catch up with you all at a later date.

play safe out there

Failing of mine that Mark, laffing at other pepes kiting misfortunes - find 'em so funny :D

Anyway's the next one you did was perfecto so practice, even though it gives us a chuckle makes perfect dude :)

Cobbs is tempting tomorrow teatime - pink and bang onshore. Could be an afterwork sunset session on the cards :)

Great evening sunset session :D

Dragged the daughter down to help launch thinking I'd be the only midweek kiter but there were loads of bodies out. (She did come in useful, brought a beer out to the waters edge )

Only one major wipeout - tried a footout - ended up pulling a bolt outta the footpad - had to come in and rescrew the thing back in. Can't say enough good things about this Nobile board though, I put it through so much and it's still as good as new.

Looks even better tomorrow - windier and brighter - too good to miss.

Good day guys :)

OK not the best wind wise (cept for me and Mark with that late sunset session) but still fun and games all the same.

Good bunch of people down there today, kites, kite chatter and a few beers makes for a decent day even if the wind wasn't that great. I forgot how good landboarding is, must get mine down outta the loft and bring it down next time the winds low.

Cheers for the lend of the landboards, and to Paul for the play on that old school C Wipika - pretty in the sky, pulled like a train and a bit scary - a proper mans kite.

And thanks to Mark for staying behind till I came in...hope she enjoyed the pear juice :)

Looking good later in the week, bang onshores and high teens, probably pull a tea time treat if the forecast stays good.

2010 Newbie.......Ainsdale any good for landboarding and kitesurfing ;)

No it's rubbish...keep away newbie.

Blinkin'eck! Thought you'd forgot your way!

They take £3.50 in shiny coins at the entrance now, not a couple of chickens like when you were last up.

You've missed loads of beer by the way ;)

@Mark - Looks epic tonight (Wednesday), me and the daughter are gonna venture out - this rain is forecast to stop and sunny bits develop and HT is tea time so no yomping like last week. XC is looking sweet - mid teens and big kites, Cobs looks like developing into a yellow arrowed 9m sunset, so who to believe?........Cobs

If you're all out all day Thursday, then no excuses, you should all be doing back flips by sunset :)

So that was you Si, had no idea you was the jiz dude, see I'll talk to anyone :)

As I said Si - grab a wettie and get in the water - no pain (only a wee bit anyway) and no chance of drowning staying in the shallows - we ain't lost one yet.

Epic, epic evening - if you want big 9m onshores, biutter flat lagoons and a sunset that would romance any wife into letting you buy a new kite - this was the evening.

I've got a new kite coming Friday ;)

Good to see John Dave again, another blast from the past. Tonight reminded me John of that other hurricane night session, when you crashed and smashed that 9m Guerilla on the water. We were behind my motor drinking beer....'do you think John is OK, seems a wee bit overpowered'....'Ahh yeh, the dudes probably just practicing them kite loop propeller thingies' We were so young and daft back then :D

Looks like you daytime Thursday people are gonna get the best of tomorrow, Cobs is showing no wind left for us afterwork dudes. Looks perfect for you practising on the water, sunny, teenage winds and LT around 1, so incoming goons all afternoon. You lucky people.

Can't make Sunday, hoping that XC Saturday teatime forecast at least stays were its at.

Best session at Ainsdale this year...probably the only one come to think of it. All rounded off with a great sunset and a bag of chips from Mark Rose's favourite chippy.

The reality was that I flew a couple of hundred yards up the beach and landed on my head, pulled safety then closed my eyes for a rest. When I opened my eyes (not sure if I was knocked out or not) I was in a lagoon rapidly filling with water. That must have been 4 or 5 years ago now, oh the fun we had... Great to catch you, looking cool out there as always.

Hiya.

Hoping to get back up to ainsdale tommrow afternoon for a bit more landboarding. Its saying low tide of 2.89m @ 13:38 and the wind on a southerly till late afternoon. My question is how much beach is useable on a landboard at low tide or should i bring my buggy? Sorry if its a dumb question just wondering.

Thanks

Si
