mojo Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Tell us all. One of the them that I'd add to my list of must haves would be "Rois de Mages" English subtitles - hope I have the spelling right. Quote
Goz Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Oh there is far to many good movies to pick just one. I will have to make a list of some of my favourites The Fifth Element Office Space Lord of the Rings Series Stardust (Harvey Keitel as a Transvestite Pirate Captain is funny as hell) Pirates of the Caribbean Series (Quick hide the Rum) The Shawshank Redemption The Prestige Silence of the Lambs Dogma I could go on for a while Quote
koma Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Best film isn't really something i could easily narrow down... but i'll happily list off a few great films that i enjoyed at the time! - Pans Labyrinth - Gran Torino - Plunkett & McCleanne - Office Space - Alien Quadrilogy (makes for a great movie marathon!) - Back to the Future Trilogy - Ghostbusters Quote
jhn.holgate Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 I think if I had to pick my fav it would be Highlander. Best recent film would be Kick Ass - with particularly good use of the banana splits theme song!!! Other often watched films would be The Matrix trilogy, Lord of the rings, Predator and a long list of sci-fi stuff. Also a lot of what Goz said too. One other film that stands out (which I thought I would hate because the ENTIRE film is shot with a hand held video cam) is Cloverfield. A really good monster flick - just ignore the first 15minutes of meaningless drivel!! Quote
Andyfly Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Kenny...... great movie No matter what your doing - do it with pride.... is a great message.... and when it's got to do with the smelly side of life it certainly lightens the message (and you ) up "there's the problem, they fitted a one inch pipe and he had a 2 inch @rse-hole" ......best line ever.... Andy.... Quote
Nocando Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I just watched the chinese version of Ben Hur a flick called "Red Cliffs" amazing, subtitles Quote
Dundee Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Lately.... Inception would have to be one of the Best Movies i have ever seen. Really well constructed and keeps you going the hole 2 half hours. Quote
BobM Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Hercules Returns What a hoot this movie is - it helpds to be in a jovial mood when you watch it Only ever seen it on VHS - never seen a DVD version Quote
BGKD Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Lately.... Inception would have to be one of the Best Movies i have ever seen. Really well constructed and keeps you going the hole 2 half hours. I really have to disagree, it was dire and way too long, the parts that were good were far too few and patchy, and the action was mostly mundane. A pity really because they did have some good ideas and if they concentrated on the basic ideas instead of trying to graft a rather tedious action thriller onto the side of it then it could have been very good.... I suspect it would have been a lot better without DiCaprio in the lead, who lets face it is trying to reinvent his flagging career, and without his weight on the budget they could afford to make more of the stuff that was actually good Quote
JKS Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Most favorite movie is definitely Lord of the rings followed closely by anything Monty python Quote
