  1. Hi guys, I wanna know what is a good kite for light winds. I did some lessons with an ozone and lite force. The ozone took one go to get up and generally stayed up easy. The lite force couldn't stay up and was difficult to water start. The instructor swears by ozone, saying they are the mercedes of kites. But he could be biased. I've heard North are good. But have heard they have problems with the valves coming unstuck. Easy to repair though. Also I heard Naish is good for light winds specially the new 15m Naish Fly. Although bad Review on the octopus design. Hard to repair bladders. Also how is the 2 strut design in performance and ease of use. Any feed back and advise will be appreciated. I live in Darwin so pretty much light winds 8-12kn sometime 12-18kn Thank you
  2. Definatly "teaser videos" I'm Over in the UK for 6 months without my gear and absolutely hanging to get back to aus.
  3. Thanks guys for your comments. I do actually have a torn disc in my lower back Which can causes alot of pain from time to time. I never actually thought about that. Thanks. So for now untill I become more advanced I will stick to the seat. Thanks again Mick.
  4. Hey, I Am reasonably new to kitesurfing. I have been looking through Mags to see what people use in the way of harnesses. Ive noticed that lots of people go for the waist style even beginners. I had my lessons in a Seating harness and found it very compfy. I've also noticed a new style of harness which Dakine have bought out called the nitrous HD. It's a harness built into Shorts. Which I'm sure you are all aware of. So what Ya think. Waist or seating. Thank you Mick.
  5. Lately.... Inception would have to be one of the Best Movies i have ever seen. Really well constructed and keeps you going the hole 2 half hours.
  6. hey guys, been good wind the last couple of days. is it blowing in the right directoin?, did anyone take advantage of it on the weekend?
  7. OH MAN. i was looking forawd to going down to the beach this weekend. now there is shit everywhere. shits really hit the fan now. if its not crocs its jelly fish, if its not jelly fish its shit. http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2010/0 ... tnews.html
  8. man i really dont think the croc was 1 metre away. that is pretty close, im sure it would have had a go. but hey, i alwase see crocs when launching my boat off Nightcliff boat ramp, and out towards old man Rock. like the NT news stated there hasnt been a crock attack in darwin Harbour since 1800's at dina Beach. thats good odds for me so il continue to kite. maybe ill take in Timmy from Daluy rivers comments.. NOT.

  12. hey all, i am pretty new to the sport KS. i've been to the beach a few times to see if other people have been out haveing a kitesurf. i haven't noticed any one around recently. as im new to the sport im a bit concerned going out on my own. a mate was supose to be staring with me but has dogged me and now reckons he doesnt have any money to do it. ive now gone to the expense of haveing lessons and bought my own gear. would be appreciated if there is anyone that is heading out if you could give me a hit. really keen to get out on the water.
  13. "Also dont be too worried about he sea temp, its pretty cold at the moment due to a freezing winter (sea dropped to 3 degrees!) but in the summer the sea reaches 18/19 degrees". Gee i'll have to get a Dry suit... i Live in Darwin and our water stays around 28-32 degrees.... 18-19 will kill me. lol. NA ill be fine. thank you every one for there input. been very helpfull, and ill have a great times. thanks all.
