KS in Darwin Lately

hey all,

i am pretty new to the sport KS. i've been to the beach a few times to see if other people have been out haveing a kitesurf. i haven't noticed any one around recently. as im new to the sport im a bit concerned going out on my own. a mate was supose to be staring with me but has dogged me and now reckons he doesnt have any money to do it. ive now gone to the expense of haveing lessons and bought my own gear.

would be appreciated if there is anyone that is heading out if you could give me a hit. really keen to get out on the water.

You are in luck . A crazy bastard up there goes by the name of Marty is the best kite buddy anyone could wish for . He will untangle lines , always brings some beer and loves a chuckle . I'm sure he will be on here any minute .

G'day Dundee, welcome to the boards mate, good to see another Territorian on here! It's true what they say, Marty is a great bloke, probably your best bet for a few tips and tricks if your starting out, or if you're just after a bloke to yak to. That said, he's too scared to get in the water so sticks to making wheel ruts in the beach in his kite powered Tonka truck.

I'm still kinda starting out too, have been for about 2 years now, just can't seem to get the funds in order for the board and everything . Who'd you have your lessons with, Jeff?

He Dundee .... there a few who get about kitesurfing here in the Territory (don't include me, i'm a land lover up here) ... when and where to find them will depend on the wind. It's a little flukey up here so you gotta grab it when it calls ... that being said, I have only managed 2 or 3 outings myself this year. Get a few posts up and I can flick you a PM n have a chat

Yea i had my leesons with Jeff. (top bloke) i wanna get to a point where im up on the board and have confindence. as i will be going to the UK in September for a year i really want to take the kite and do some KS over there.
