steved1599968766 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 I really should stop reading threads where people are planning to go to events when I can't - it's depressing. Hope y'all have a good time though. Oh yeah, & Happy Birthday for Saturday Martin ........... you old git! Quietly gets his coat & sneaks out the door ........... before anyone discovers he hits the big 40 this year! Quote

steved1599968766 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 ^^ LOL - guess I deserved that! Anyway, age isn't just about numbers, it's a state of mind. If you act, dress and feel old then people will think you're old. If you act, dress and feel young then ............... well, judging by the behaviour of some of us 'oldies' at some of the events over the past couple of years, we've got nothing to worry about! Quote
avspider Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 So is that why the older one's try boarding to start with? Then end up buggying? Quote
steved1599968766 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 So are you saying buggying is an old mans game? I like doing both now. & I've got to say, I'm just as battered and bruised from learning buggy ground tricks as I ever was learning to board. So if anyone is thinking buggying is an easy option (**cough** T595 **cough** ) then think again! Unless of course you like 'armchair' type buggys like a few round here ride!! Hmmmm! That's probably offended about 90% of you lot so I'm gonna run away now! LOL. Quote

Some people may say the easiest, but hey it's fun:D Armchair buggy's?? Who might that be then? I only have a flexi buggy (pink) at home ;-) Quote
steved1599968766 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Not sure that buggying IS safer than boarding - I guess it depends on how hard you push each sport & what you like doing (e.g. bug freestyle/jumping VS cruising on a board = I would imagine the boarding to be safer in this instance). I do agree though that (bar any accidents) buggying is generally easier on my old joints & muscles. & buggying fun?!? - OH YES!!! So where's your bug then Al? & does this mean we'll be seeing you freestyling in the future then?!?!? P.S. does it show I can't be arsed with work today?!? Quote

Both the lizard buggies are in storage on the trailer is that race or is it armchair or fat old boy lazy git? yep it's just plain fun! I do do freestyle... but it's more the hovering around marks at speed when a tad powered up or attemping the suicide gybes:eek: Only 1 more week then going to the lazy fatboy beach for a week ;-) Quote
avspider Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Fingers crossed I'll pop up to LH after work today to try some kites if anybody is around? If you havn't met me, i'll be the one with silly amounts of kites & no buggy (I can't be arsed to get any of them out) Quote
