one of my ex performance buddies in soton has a pair of the original build powerisers, not the generic ones that are now on teh market, for sale, ill hit him up for a price if you like?

you will neeed to buy the right weight catogorie for you, else you will either break the plastic spring if too heavy, or not get any pressure into it if you are too light.

but they are designed to be acrobatic stilts, you need to be careful when you use these...take it slowly and "one step at a time"

if you are looking for plasters stilts, which are different, they are called drywall stilts, or more commonly the pro version (which is what i used to perform on) are durastilts.

they have an atriculated foot plate, so that they move and act like your foot on the mount plate. they are totaly different to powerrisers, and are desgned to allow the wearer to stand still for long periods or time, and move and walk normally from the off, even if you are not used to talkin in them.

I didn't get much flying done this week. My daughter broke her hip at a "all night lock in" at Play Zone & has been in the QA hospital since Wed night.:(

Bit of luck she'll be out tomorrow if she can walk. Don't spose Sarah can go & give her a kick up the backside & get her on her feet can she?;)

Wish they had schemes like this when i was young.

Basically £35 ph gets you evening meal, a drink, sweets, breakfast & the run of the place all night until they kick you out at 7;30am (or A&E, whichever is the soonest) LOL.

Hi all,

Not sure the of your name but thanks to the guy (buggy and blue HQ or Ozone kite I think) who help me and my cousin out today at LH while we were waiting for the ambulance!!

Will hopefully be back out there again soon but without the need for the emergency services!!:(

Thanks again

Sounds like LH strikes again. What happened?

well basically it was a small static jump on a 6.5m blade v that caught a gust and became a larger jump. Very awkward landing.

Just heard from the hospital, Tom's going for CAT scan now, doc reckons it's a broken back. Not good:(

It was VERY gusty today at LH, i was scared just flying my 4.9 . Kudos to you flying a big ass kite like that today. If indeed he does have a broken back as the doc suspects then i hope he can recover soon.

****Note for the guys from portsmouth today, what we talked about is here http://www.kitesurfuk.com and thanks for letting me have a go on your PL buggy, if i'd known it was that easy to fly a buggy i might've started on them first ;-)****

I both injured parties are on the mend?

Al, the newer blades are easier/better to fly.

did many other's fly the weekend? We had a mental time in Pembrey, Sarah was mainly on teh 2.5m 7 I was mainly on the 4m rm.

We both came home with the overall winner's cup's + medal's from Saturday's racing.

Sunday was again sunshine & the same size kites, i wasn't quite at the 50 barrier, just cruising at 40-43mph ;-)

The new blade's are definately easier to fly but in hindsight it wasn't the right day for it. Far too gusty, only realised that at the last minute though.

Just heard that my mate fractured his L1 (lower spine). Waiting to hear more in the morn but he should be ok!

Thanks again to the guys who came over

He's ok thanks. In hospital waiting for the opp on Thursday.

No, there wasn't any real fuss from anyone, just lots of onlookers!

No spinal board, they forgot to put on in the ambulance. We couldn't lift him so he pulled himself up onto the stretcher - crazy fool!!

The paramedics were great but u'd have thought that in the 40min wait for the ambulance they could have kitted it out properly!!

Anyway at least he's getting there and it's a hell of a lot less serious than it could hae been
