JKS Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 "When the crocodile was only a metre away, she finally got out of the water. http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2010/0 ... tnews.html LOVE this comment If the depth allows you to, dive under as salties plan 99pc of their atatcks on the surface. Diving under and swimming quietly away will confuse the croc. If the depth doesn't allow you to dive under, take the iniative and leap at the croc before it attacks you. Then, go for the eyes with your thumbs and you'll be OK. Crocs don't like being challenged until they're at least 3 metres in length. Quote
Dundee Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 man i really dont think the croc was 1 metre away. that is pretty close, im sure it would have had a go. but hey, i alwase see crocs when launching my boat off Nightcliff boat ramp, and out towards old man Rock. like the NT news stated there hasnt been a crock attack in darwin Harbour since 1800's at dina Beach. thats good odds for me so il continue to kite. maybe ill take in Timmy from Daluy rivers comments.. NOT. Quote
