damian9 Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 I wonder how red Daimian will be tomorrow ! This is the first time when I didn't burn my face I put a lot of sun protector on and it worked, no problems at all today. But Monika, my partner, she spent all day at Cleeve with us yesterday and she didn't put any protector on her skin. Result - very badly burned face, hands, neck and back To sum up, it was a great day for me as well. I can feel it in my muscles today. Walking up the stairs hurts a lot... Quote
flylite56 Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 My sunburn is not too bad but I have the mother of all bruise on my left knee and that was wearing armour, got a nice one on my hip as well Great day tho and nice to see you all Quote

Chaos Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 (edited) Sorry Damian, would love to try Ainsdale, but a swam of Mosquito's found me on Wednesday night and I have more bites than I can remember. Next time thou. Probably Hearsall for an hour late on Sat and Cleeve on Sun 10.30 ish if the lumps have got better. Any good pics or videos from last weekend, since its the same camera, we could edit a good video together out of the combined clips. Have a great session Damian Edited July 27, 2012 by Chaos Quote
damian9 Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Have a great session Damian Thanks Mike Going early morning tomorrow, just in case if anyone decides to join me I might join you you at Cleeve on Sunday if I am not too tired after Saturday Quote
midlandtony Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 well what can I say? 30 degrees last week. Twisted my knee on Friday 1 st kitesurfing lesson today, good old morphine. Wind howling all week and sun blazing. Just sitting in the conservatory watching the kite surfers Playing and the sun going down over the sea, drinking local ale. It's awful. Lol Quote
Chaos Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 Hope the knee was OK, I am really sorry you have to put up with this, can take you place if you feel the pressure is too much. First go in a buggy today, it felt Alien, no wonder they call it turning to the Dark Side. Hope the wind and weather is kind to you Tony. Quote
tvrgreg Posted July 29, 2012 Report Posted July 29, 2012 had a good session at cleeve today, tried boarding for the 1st time for a few mins, not sure about it yet feels weird. Then i thought while i am trying new things lets try the blade in the buggy I AM STILL ALIVE!!!!! had to be very carefull but it went very well, fast park and ride monster. barry the bastard blade nearly had me a few times but i like it alot should be good on the beach. Cheers for the well wishes yoof If i had to give up kiting it is good to have known such a good bunch of flyers. But as Arnie says "I'll be BACK!!" Twisted my knee on Friday 1 st kitesurfing lesson today, It's awful. LolHoping your recovery is a quicker one. Mixing local ale and morphine !!! Savage sounds like a quality holiday Quote
Bunny87 Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Hearsall later??? If the rain holds. Anyone up for a mid weeker? 12-24mph forecast. Quote
midlandtony Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Tried another attempt at kitesmurfing today, after being launched 4 times out of the sea before I even got the board out, thought it best to wait for the wind to drop. Great fun walking on water though. See ya soon chaps. Quote
Chaos Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Well although the wind felt good, it wasn't SSW I think, kites were powered up about 15 - 20 m of the ground but patchy lower. Probably my worst experience, but guess I have been spoilt flying else where. After Agnes got used to the kite, she did well. Quote
midlandtony Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Days like that make you appreciate the better flying zones. Wind down here was supposed to be wsw more like sw and 35mph, but you can never complain about too much wind? Quote
