Went to Dunstable Downs to start the day, great views bordering on the Chilterns, some Paragliders and fixed wing gliders were flying and some Hang Gliders were just setting up as we left.

Wind was channelled up the hill and was moderate at ground level, get the kite 15m in the air and whoosh !! They only allow static thou I believe, met a forum member and flew some kites, Ozone Razor and Century then travelled to Cleeve.

Not the best conditions I have flown in at Cleeve, loads of dark clouds, gusts, change of wind directions and rain, but was glad of the Lei's for rain coverage, thanks guys, and enjoyed the comradeship of the local fliers.

Still a good day out

EDIT, forgot to mention am now a member of the De Power club, Thanks Nigel

You get the Syn up then Mike?

leather chaps err will give them a miss :) the nitro could prove to be a bit of a mare! it took off without me wanting it to, then went to zenith and folded and came straight back down it did that a few times, the wind was a bit shit at cleeve sunday tho. hope its better in lighter winds, was daft enough to send it up in 15-20mph with weird gusts, graham was getting very worried and said put it away before ya get hurt. packed it away just before it pi**ed it down.

Dave,

If no one has pointed this out yet, as you get older the bumps and scrapes take longer to heal

Thought about some elbow and knee pads? they may come in handy for the trick school and the new Kite =>

All,

Table booked at Akbars (CV1 3GJ) for 8 pm this Friday 27th, beers in the Aardvark for 7pm

In attendance : Clive, Dave C, Dave R, Eliot, Greg, Mike, Ryan, Ryan, Tony
