Oh, how I have missed repeatedly landing on my arse whilst falling over on my snowboard, wish the wind was more consistent, but it was great to have a go.

Well I didn't think Greg would be the first of the Hearsall crowd to try traction snowboarding, but he was, and he had some great runs with the Sami today.

He'll be on a land board next

PS, thanks for the invite PM, but we stayed local

Hi everyone, I'm Paul have been kitting for about a year now in Birmingham. And would like to join yous at some point down on Hearsall Common. I'm sure I would get an education. Only have one question do i need to be insured to fly here and if so where can I buy.

Thanks Paul.

Hi Paul,

No insurance is not mandatory, but I would suggest you get some, just in case. Have you got Pads and a Helmet?

There are various insurers and there are threads on this forum discussing the pros and cons of the different insurers. If you are into kite surfing then some places only accept certain insurances, have a read up.

I have SPKA , they have a very fast turn around, it took 3 days until I received the key fob and that was over the New Year.

The Common has been water logged for about 6 months, so we have been flying elsewhere, the coast and Cleeve Common (Cheltenham) have a look at the Flickr and You Tube accounts in my signature.

You are more than welcome to join us.

hi, problem at the moment is the common is pretty water logged, most of the coventry guys tend to go to cleeve common, as its on a plateux it tends to be dryer and windier. It might be worth hooking up with one of us when we go and save fuel costs. Another place I sometimes go is the football fields in arley, its not that big but local and gets you used to turns and lumpy wind.

A good weekend flying, and I have added to my tally, firstly straight over and on top of Gregs buggy and this weekend, ditto on his kite :o

Good to see you all today / this weekend
