Nice one Ady, thats really good news mate. Look out for me on the common as i'm likely to be there over the weekend. Must stay local as the Pembrey trip used my current stock of browny points.

 

Pembrey was awesome mate mile of the biggest (kiteable) beach you could set your eyes on! The guys are still there but Ryan and I came back today. Great weekend and we topped 30mph on the board. I've got the bruises on my arse and back to prove it!

 

The wind really picked up and we were whipping out all over the place. Both Dave and Ryan had meaty falls colisions with the sand. Daves at high speed, breaking (luckily only)his glasses in the process.

well done on the job ady, just got back from pembrey great week kiting broke my pb its now 37mph with me 3.5m butane got 36mph out of the 4m flow well chuffed. need to brake 40mph barrier next

I am looking for a long socket to tighten up my nuts with, think its 30mm, have any suggestions of where I can get one from.

 

I used the buggy as well as a board on handles, didn't go captive, that need's to change next time I get to a beach

A cold shower will probably tighten you nuts and a 30mm socket will tighten the ones on the buggy. lol. Once you go captive you will not go handles on a beach again.

But . . . . I need the length.

 

The one you have, thinking about it, looks about 10 cm long, when I used Greg's the socket was only on about 1/2 of the nut when tightened, the thread of the axle fouls the socket.

ebay number 221057491764, 30mm deep impact socket should do the trick.

No problem, I did not ask what drive ratchet you have, just make sure its correct for that socket.

Was going to use a car wheel extending bar, used Greg's to great effect, long for tightening and collapsed for winding up on the thread.

 

Will measure the sizes up tomorrow and use the phrase 'deep' if I search anywhere else.

 

Wind was very lumpy with strong channels at Cleeve Sunday, put a few hours in at the Common Sat PM.

 

When is the first race? I believe it's being held at the Ho, must travel down to watch a race or 2.

27th and 28th October is the first race at Westward Ho, havent flown there yet.

hi tony cannot see page 165? so checked your posts, did not fly the sprints all week wind was high most days 20-25+ so stuck with 2.5m century, 3m flow, 3.5m butane and 4m flow. 1st obe was on 3m flow straight out of the back no pain, 2nd obe was on 2.5m century sort of out the back across the axel hit legs on the way out and got hurt, did not get up for 5-10 mins. they say its the small ones that will spank you the most got 36mph out of the 4m flow and 37mph on the 3.5m butane well chuffed but got to crack 40mph this year. hope to get along to the ho to see you race in oct.
