  1. So if my Garmin Watch reads accurately - I reached 62.8kph at 13th Beach (Barwon Heads) yesterday afternoon. My PB! Be it all for less than a second - I felt the gust and by the time I managed to glance at my watch, I was back in the 30's again. I think John was following me, and may have footage....Anyway it was a good run, my best so far in means of turning, tactics and hopefully if this is correct, my fastest on three wheels ever! ( or even two at one stage)
  2. Just thought I'd ask the forum if anyone knows of anyone wanting to sail a 3m Blokart sail? Found at Kingston that if I had a 3m, I would have had more opportunities to sail in the winds we had. New one's going to cost nearly $800, which is money I will never see spare. @Chook - how would you think a wind surf sail work on a blokart frame? Cheers, Mez
  3. A couple of vids from Scott Young tuning up for the world championships to be held at Lake Ivanpah..
  4. Just wanted to show off a little video I put together. Lots of fun at Kingston SE! Its definitely a weekend that should be marked on everyone's calendar Anyone else get some footage?
  5. Sandy Point Victoria. Anyone want to come to Sandy Point this weekend coming. Low tide is 1.05 pm @0.5 m and this far out wind says Southwest @> 20knts. @Clive @IMK @jhn.holgate @OBEwan @Mik333 @bakersdozen @The Duke @Hatman @Sheldon71 @.Joel @nigel @roblukin and anyone else who is keen. come on down. keep an eye on the winds. i am aiming for 10am at the shops. Doug
  6. So today, finally the 5.5m sail goes off to get a new luff sleeve. I'm embarrased to say its been a year since I damaged it, but @igeighty did an amazing job patching it up for this long. So it will get its test out at Sandy next weekend. Its off to Horizon Sailmakers today and I will get it back Wednesday. Thats pretty quick and for a reasonable $130 mend! Shall take a before and after shot. Have a great Friday everyone! From Mez
  7. Looking forward to Sw wind and low tide to save the drive at 5 am we took the camper a day early. Good day tomorrow see you n the beach.

Another meet up for the Victorian Blokart Association at Waratah Bay on Saturday 5th September. Weather permitting, we will meet up at the boat ramp, opposite the kids playground on the main road heading to the Waratah Bay Caravan Park. There will be opportunities to have a try, participate in a friendly race and if your bringing you kite and kit, a great opportunity to put it to the test, blokart v kite buggy. After we've exhausted ourselves, we'll all catch up for a chat over a soft drink which can be purchased through VBA (all money goes towards funding a permanent home for the VBA members) Heres hoping to a good day's weather. From Mez
  9. So another proposed run out at Waratah Bay for the VBA group, a 9am start at the boat ramp (see 8th August post for location details) I'm hoping the weather will be nice enough to get in a good day of Blokarting/Buggying. We shall probably do a day trip as the nights are still on the cold side to test out the camper trailer, but have you noticed the mornings are lighting up? I get excited this time of year as it means that the days of going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark are finally out numbered for the rest of this year. So watch this space and I hope a few - if the day goes ahead, are able to come down and have a play on the sand. From Mez
  10. On Saturday 8th August 2015, the Victoria Blokart Association will be meeting at the boat ramp at 9am (opposite the children's park, and by the toilets) just on the road to Waratah Bay Caravan Site. Here, we'll set up the blokarts (either on the street, or if you can drive on the beach, down on the sand) and have a session of fun races and general beach runs. And of course, plenty of opportunities to have a go yourself. Low tide is at 11.07am at about 0.55m however its too early to see what the weather will be. Usually three days before is a good estimate and I can let you all know for sure whether the VBA group will be there. If it does go ahead, we usually stay until about 2pm - then its pack up and have a chat over a drink (they have soft drink for sale, to help fund events in the future) But i'll bring the gas burner and kettle. So if your coming, bring your buggy and kites and come and enjoy a great atmosphere as these boys are pretty fun to be around. Hope the weather is good, and hope to see some of you down. All the best Mez
  11. Some Lake Ivanpah goodness!! I still think those solar farms look awesome. Video's pretty good too and I love the remote controlled panning gopro rig.
  12. A beautifully shot and edited video of the Belgium blokart club in action....
