is anyone planning to go to ainsdale this friday? got the day off and would like to fly at a beach location - would like to fly with others as i may need advice!

I went to Richmond park for first time last w/end (normally wormwood scrubs for me - the parkland, not the prison). I was at the playing fields at the Roehampton Gate entrance. It was great, but had to wait a little while for teams playing on the pitches to clear. Does anyone know what the best time to go down there is, to avoid mowing down rugby players? Also, is there any where else in Richmond park that's suitable for landboarding or any regular buggy/boarder haunts and meets? cheers, guy.

Hi, I've had a to do a a training course in Wymondham the last couple of days, right next door to the police headquarters there is a huge playing field. When I saw it yesterday I wondered if it was ever used for kiting, and lo and behold I was gazing out of the window 2day and saw what I think was a stacker 10 go by, so if anyone in Norfolk flys and doesn't know about this place you do now:)

OK concensus of opinion is we meet at Maccy D's in Weston, on the big roundabout / traffic island jobby on the way into Weston (it's the one where you have B & Q etc). Once there we have a few of the specialities on offer and then chat about where we are going ie Weston or Brean / Berrow. Meet at Maccy D's 9.00 / 9.30 ish and then roll out in convoy, 10 - 4 monkeydick, right back at ya. ;) ;) If anyone else is interested in coming along please do, I'll be with the ugly ones in the group !!!! Remember YOU do need insurance at Weston and of course WE should ALL have it anyway.

I've got a free weekend, and I've been meaning to get to Camber or Pendine for months, so I think I might just make the journey to Camber this weekend. I've chacked the tide-times and it seems that high tide is about 10:30am and low tide about 5:40pm. Not sure what the conditions are meant to be like yet, but I'm just trying to guage if anyone else is going to be there perhaps? Otherwise I may go elsewhere. I just need a goot blat around in a buggy for a couple of hours, and am prepared to travel. If Camber's a no-go I may go to Pendine instead...or somewhere else.

Hi All Normaly go to Mable or Branny on sundays, but i have looked at the tides and they SUCK! So inland this weekend, taking a trip to Port holme, near Huntingdon. Big open field and there is lots of wind this weekend, 12-15mph. All welcome, were not fussy See ya all there Laterz Danny

Just like to say what a great time I had on saturday at the supercup. The atmosphere was excellant and I persoanlly think this is the future for racing in the UK

I'm going there in a few weeks for a windsurfing competition. My dad says there's lovely long sandy, buggy suitable beaches - but then he's not a kiter. So can you buggy there? Is it worth bringing my buggy from Essex?

There is a field just off the A 20 right near the main entrance to Brands Hatch as you come up the hill from the M25 on the left. Look for a small cut out where you can park Will be flying from midday tomorrow if anyone is up for it. To the guy who bought us the shandys, you are more than welcom to come along and try your hand at boarding if you like.

F**KING TWAT - Was down at Camber last Sunday (12th Oct) - Came down from Reigate, got there around 9ish (Shingle Car Park) Very windy, came down with my two week old Blade 3 4.9 Decided not to put it up as quite gusty - Saw a copule of guys buggying. Went over for a chat with them. Very nice chaps. Saw lots of Kitesurfers over on main part of beach so headed over that way. Probably about 20-30 kites on the water and in the air at one time or another. Everyone was helping each other launch and land, people were milling about with kids and dogs, watching what was going on. Quite a community feeling going on. THEN THE BARBOUR AND WELLY TWATS TURNED UP. A COUPLE AGED MID TO LATE 30's. SET ABOUT LAUCHING THEIR KITE - NOT SURE WHAT IT WAS BUT PROBABLY ABOUT A 3m ODD AFFAIR. COULD TELL STRAIGHT AWAY THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT OR HOW TO FLY IT. THE CHAP GOT IT IN THE AIR MIDDLE OF WINDOW AND DRAGGED HIM STRAIGHT FORWARDS. LAUGHIN HE CALLED HIS FEMALE COMPANION OVER FOR A GO - SHE LOST CONTROL AND IT SIDE SWIPED A COUPLE WITH TWO YOUNG KIDS - VERY CLOSE CALL - IF U C THEM DONW THERE AGAIN PUNCH THEM AND THROW THEM IN THE SEA - WE WILL GET BANNED BECAUSE OF TWATS LIKE THIS - THE KITE SURFERS LOOKED ON IN DIS BELIEF - DON'T LOOK ON STOP IT AND STOP IT NOW - I AM NEW TO THIS SPORT AND LOVE IT - BUT I KNOW MY LIMITS AND KNEW NOT TO LAUCH MY BLADE. IT TOOK ME 1 1/2 hrs TO GET TO CAMBER AND I DID NOT LAUCH MY KITE - I HAD A GOOD TIME WATCHING AND LEARNING AND WILL TAKE HEED FOR NEXT TIME - ENOJY BUT DONT SPOIL;) - THE REASON I GO TO CAMBER IS THAT IS THE NEAREST BEACH/PLACE LAND BOARDING IS NOT BANNED, AS FAR AS I KNOW?? i understand last year between oct and april the main beach could be used for bugging, is this true for this year as well or is it only broomhill sands that can be used now?

any1 going to watch/ compete this weekend at camber sands ? im not competeing (next year fingers crossed) but if its windy any1 reakon its worth taking my gear or are they going to hog the whole beach
